Maxfield - Los Angeles

Spoke to one of the ladies that work there. Sounds like they've received some SG Sport in the last week or so but they have a ton of orders (that's apparently the most popular model because it's cheaper maybe?). They had a ton of issues with resellers, when I was ordering mine last week there was a swarm of foreigners (Russian?) outside handing cash to each other in line. I'd be more upset at someone ahead of me in line/order process buying one just to sell it for 4x the price overseas than having to wait an extra couple of days for my product personally.

My coworker just got his 42mm Milanese this morning, so people are definitely getting calls.

People got calls today but either non MR members or those not waiting for any Sports
 
I know most of us are all waiting for the space gray sports. Has anyone ordered and waiting for anything else?

I spoke to a supervisor that seemed to know her stuff or she is a good BS'er. I explained how I was told by Maxfield's that I should have my orders in "a few days" and was also told that all sales are final. She said that Maxfield's has 14 days to fulfill my orders before I can do a chargeback/dispute. That 14 days is what they consider a reasonable time to fulfill an order. That is fair I have no problem with that. So if I dont have it by next Tues I will probably start a chargeback/dispute as items never received.

It's completely up to you if you do a chargeback. It's not your credit card company's call. Of course, you could lose the dispute if Maxfield can claim that you didn't give them a reasonable amount of time to fill the order. By the way, there's no such thing as "all sales are final" unless you actually have the merchandise.

Seriously, try waiting since 4/10.
 
So I just got off the phone with them and this is all confirmed from a rep there and there is no inconsistency with anything the other reps said as well:
- They received a somewhat large order of Apple Watches
- The majority of the shipment are Sport watches
- There are 42mm Sport Pink, Blue, and Green
- There are 42mm Stainless Steel White Sport Band
- There are Black Sport Bands available for sale. These are ONLY the bands.
- All preorders that came in that shipment were called TODAY. If you didn't receive a call, yours wasn't in that batch.
- 42mm Space Grey models did not come in that shipment

I did not receive any other information, I didn't ask about 38mm models either. This is all I was told and from what it seems like, there were a lot of changes in the way Maxfield is handling the entire pre order situation.

What changes were made to the way they are handling pre-orders?
 
Wow. Not cool the way they handled this. I know they didn't "officially" give people fulfillment dates, but they pretty much have been telling everyone "a couple of days" for just about every order. That's ridiculous for them to not allow people to get a refund.

Like one poster above said, they can't say no refunds are allowed on their merchandise since they never actually gave anyone said merchandise.

Got lucky with the person on the other line. Don't want to mention anything further than that about the individual. As far as another shipment, I did not ask about it.
 
I just called them to ask what they had for sale at the moment, and she said that they "Don't have access to their inventory, so we ask that you make an appointment which are made on a first come first served basis." "So you can't just walk in and buy one?" "Correct." "Well that's super weird."

I ordered a 42 SS black with a black leather loop on April 30th. Never gonna get this thing, I don't think.
 
Yeah, I thought that was a little strange. Can't seem to get a straight answer out of anybody over there. Granted, they're probably not hearing anything from Apple either. Whole situation's a mess. I ordered mine before the defacto response was "a few weeks."
 
There's a recent post on the r/AppleWatch subreddit where a guy apparently was able to buy a 42 SS Classic Buckle today. I can't post the link since the last time I tried to post it was flagged for moderation but here's the text:

if you live in southern california and are waiting for your watch to ship, check out maxfield in LA!

I just picked up a 42mm ss with the classic buckle and they had a lot of other models. they had just sold their last 42mm milanese but im fairly certain they get new ones almost every day. Less than an hour and i got my watch goin! The guys working there are super nice too
side note, i also met someone who had reached their 'watch limit' there, they didnt even have one on

I decided to drive by there on my way to my girlfriends place and I asked if they had any space gray sports and I was told no. I asked what they did have in stock and I was told I would have to make an appointment but they were out of appointments for today and I would have to come back tomorrow. They wouldn't really give me any info.
