Looks like they will be available in the Apple Store before we might get ours from Maxfield's if things continue this way.

Apple's plan to start selling the watch in stores by the end of the month of May was first hinted at by Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts, who said in an employee memo in April that the Apple Watch would be available exclusively online through May.

There's a big difference between end of May and "June". "June" could be June 30th.

There's another thread started for this topic, but I don't think Apple's foolish enough to offend so many of their customers by stocking the stores while still having a significant backlog of online orders to fill.

but that is precisely what they did.

He's right, Mayfield today, is doing exactly what Apple will do in June. It sucks across the board. Now, I'm just going to wait on getting my 42mm until they're in Stores.

Are you going to call your card to dispute?

There are a lot of watches that show July as shipping dates. So will those not be available in the stores?

I know there are a lot of people that don't live near an apple store that have no option of going and getting it in person and have no choice but to get it off Apple.com. Living in LA, we are lucky to have so many Apple Stores. If I had ordered off of Apple.com and now they are available in the stores, I would just cancel my on-line order and walk into an Apple Store. And I think once they are available in the Apple store a lot of people will do that and by that happening Apple will be able to fulfill the Apple.com orders way faster since so many people will cancel their orders and get them in the store.

I just called and disputed the charge on my credit card. I asked the person, if Maxfield's calls me today (since that is always the way things work out) if I had to accept the watch. She said no, it is up to me if I still want it or I can leave the dispute open and get my refund from the chargeback. I asked if it mattered that they are saying that all sales are final. She said no, since the dispute was filed as items never received.

Some of you guys need to chill. I've been shopping at maxfield with my parents since I was a kid. I love apple and maxfield equally, and even as a personal client of there's im entering my 2nd week of waiting too. They're telling me we're getting the watch faster than most people in the world, can either wait a couple weeks with them or months with apple. Be patient guys. Don't forget there are people waiting on organs they need to live, that aren't as impatient as some of you guys.

New low, relating people on organ waiting list vs people on apple watch wait list...

why would u even go there...

It's like telling people waiting to use a restroom, please dont urinate in public, there are people in the world who don't even have a toilet.... actually that would of made more sense than ur analogy of waiting for organs vs watches... not even remotely related... other than the waiting... juss saying...

I think the problem we have with Maxfields at this point is Apple caught on to the scalper situation and cut back there supply. Everyday we had the same people lined up to purchase watches and they were letting them. Now we have genuine people like many of us on here that truly want to enjoy there watch and have to wait.

Waiting isn't a bad thing in most cases yes it's less time then Apple.com but now it might be more time if Apple is truly cutting back on Maxfields supply. Let's hope this isn't the case. Have we heard any news on what they have today if anything?

I said the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I believe this is exactly the case.

Apple chose Maxfield and a few other boutique stores worldwide. It's wasn't LA residents' and those other cities choice; Apple selected them.
Hence, those residents would have the right expectation to receive the watch sooner due to the express availability.

If they chose a city in Nebraska, you can bet those residents would line up and expect the very same given the opportunity. So enough with these you all are spoiled lucky residents, Apple online orders have to wait a month blah blah. You can bet your ass you'd have done the same if the watch was on sale at your nearby store.

You know what it is with these people... it's misplaced emotions... juss saying...

As I have said before, the problem is not "the waiting" it is the uncertainty of not knowing when we are going to get our watches that we ALREADY PAID for. If Maxfield's had told us that it would be at least 2 weeks, I am sure a lot of us would not have paid them. We were all told it would be a few days. I understand that it is not Maxfield's fault they are not filling our orders. They can only sell what Apple sends them. I am sure they would love to have 100's of extra on hand of every model that they can sell. What I do blame Maxfield's for is they are not issuing us refunds for things we were told we would have "in a few days". It is not like they won't be able to sell the watches to someone else once they finally receive them if they issue us a refund. Most people, myself included, don't like paying for something that we have no idea when we are going to get. When ordering from Apple they do not charge the customer until it ships and we can cancel at anytime. And they tell us an approx ship date. Plus we have 14 days to return it too. Where with Maxfield's it is pay us now, wait, wait, wait, and no refunds when you get tired of empty promises.

This exactly.
Would like to take anyone else's money up front for services yet to be delivered with no ETA. then you tell me if you'll have the patience for it.

If they issued refunds for a reasonable amount of wait, I think many of us wouldn't be frustrated.

The issue we have is Maxfields is use to a clientele that will drop thousands upon thousands like its no big deal cause money isn't an issue for them. Now you mix an Apple product with a high end boutique where you have normal everyday people, not your typical Maxfield client, and most expect some sorta estimate on when they are going to receive there merchandise they just paid for and you have employees that are pretty much confused cause they aren't use to people actually wanting to know when they are going to be get something.

What we have is a lack of customer service. Maxfields can act as stupid as they want. They know what they are receiving and what they aren't. It's not a surprise every time FedEx comes. They aren't saying anything for typical security reasons. This doesn't mean they can't give estimates or be a little more accurate to customers who are paying for an item. Yes most of us will probably never step another foot back into Maxfields but dam it I think we all still deserve the same customer service as someone dropping $40k on a dress or $700 on a tee-shirt.

If they didn't want to deal with the normal everyday customer that shops and buys Apple products, they never should have agreed to sell the stuff in the first place!!

Ordered 42mm Blue Sport Band from online Apple Store on 5/11, just got shipment notification today 5/19...

Speechless... Thank you Apple!

Now just waiting on Maxfield!!! With no updates...

Did you order the same watch from Maxfield? Cause that's one of the fastest shipping watches anyways is the blue sport band

I ordered band only...

i hear you and by the looks of it nobody not a single sole got a phone call from Maxfields today. So much for that troll that started the thread about a "large shipment" moving this week from his UPS source lmao. Now to continue waiting.....

. Don't forget there are people waiting on organs they need to live, that aren't as impatient as some of you guys.
Oh, wow...didn't think about that. Thanks for the perspective on life. I'm sure that brilliant perspective on priorities is what drove you to troll people on web forum dedicated to Apple products.

Be proud, be very proud.

Just picked up my SG BSB 42 that was ordered on 5/5. Call came in at 5:20 PST and I just left.
Congrats!

While everyone knew they were paying for a product without knowing when it would come in, it does seem a bit wrong for Maxfield to have non-cancelable orders and not be able to deliver for 2 weeks plus. Seems like Maxfield should implement a statute of limitations to give people the option to back out after 10 business days or something like that.
