He's one of those guys who blurts out spoilers to movies in crowds and everyone says " Shut up you *******", and he just shrugs with a stupid grin on his face saying; " I'm just a stupid dumb ****.. ha ha".

Good at business though.

The guy was totally reading his spiel from a script. He gets asked the question and every 15 seconds or so thereafter he checks to see what he is supposed to say.

Like he knows what the "iPhone Operating System" is about - and his comment about things being "transferable": he's just given buzz words to blurt out.

I can't wait for the "tabloid" announcement tomorrow :)

I predict the tablet will be an "iPhone Pro" - same OS but better specs and with specialised apps (like productivity and graphics apps, where the bigger screen and better processor lend themselves to these tasks) and the ability to buy and read interactive magazines (with video embedded etc) and eBook on the device that have been bought with iTunes.

I daresay the e-mags and e-book integration is a part of iPhone OS 4, and if you can buy them from iTunes (which you will be able to) then you'll be able to read them on your iPhone too because Apple will want maximum sales revenue from them, which they can't get if they limit their purchase to just the tablet.

Which, if all this is true.... what other benefits does the tablet have over the iPhone besides a bigger screen and some specialised apps?

Unless this was a sanctioned leak by Apple, that guy is kind of a dumbass.

I mean, he couldn't wait one more day to talk about it? He couldn't wait one more day to schedule that interview?

Dumbass.

EDIT:
The more I think about it, this was a planned leak by Apple.

Why would anyone want to interview him tomorrow? :D

if it's just a huge iPhone/glorified ebook reader, label me as being unimpressed.

along with me please.

So whatis see going to do pull out of the deal that would force nearly every college student to get a tablet? wake up SJ has more to lose on this one.
That CEO could parade around naked with just an apple table covering his privates and SJ still wouldn't bite. Imagine an HP tablet suddenly appearing in the colleges and taking away that market share.

I think this leak is very insignificant to what we already know, there has to be nothing but a Tablet announcement tomorrow or the Yerba Buena Center will go up in flames from the angry mobs lol. As mentioned by many others, Apple would not let an empty rumor escalate to the level this has, I've honestly never seen a unconfirmed product have THIS MUCH press. Being very excited myself, if there is no tablet announcement on the calendar tomorrow Steve better have a SWAT TEAM ready to extract him as well some anti-riot police to clean up the mess.

CANT WAIT!

He is saying EXACTLY what Steve Jobs has told him he can say.

For crying out loud, EVERYONE knows about the tablet. My mother, who is so tech-inept she can make a computer fizzle and emit pink smoke, knows about this tablet, (she might wanna get it to cause she has a ton of magazine subscriptions).

It won't be an expanded iPhone OS. The screen is bigger, and the OS will compensate for that.

Perfectly times Apple approved leak. Jobs will win the press war with Obama and his SOTU address tomorrow.

LOL, the only relevant comment here.

Could you please post some more of those

thanks in advance.

iPhone OS

So when are Steve and Company going to introduce a netbook? Let the rumors begin!!:D

What better person can you think of to make this particular announcement. Lots of people have no idea who Steve Jobs is but this guy is a household name to the extent that many homes have shelves of books with his name on them. This gets those people to tune in when they hear about the tablet tomorrow. Perfect timing. Also, as far as the ninja assassin jokes go, grow up. Apple needs this guy a lot more than he needs Apple.
