Sounds like FrontRow will control your iMac (or other Macs?) from the initial reports. That's fine with me since I don't own a TV and I do all my DVD watching on my Mac (with a Dell LCD).

That would actually work well for me... I use a DVI to HDMI adaptor to plug my mini into my 30" HDTV... sadly the mini doesn't have enough juice to decode HD level H.264 video :( Does decent resolution (~800x400 or so) MPEG4, though, whch is still pretty nice.

maybe when I get an Intel iBook my wife won't get the mini and I will just put it under the TV instead...

Music Video available for purchase in iTunes6, 2k available videos now!
That's funny. Didn't they JUST release iTunes 5? So it took several years to go from 4 to 5, but a few weeks to get to 6.

That's what I was wondering. If the expand from music videos to TV shows to movies at that kind of speed, I won't complain, however.

So front row is an app in iMacs? Not the rumored iHome?

Front Row = physical remote

not sure which is the utility/app that runs it. i assume it'll probably be just a control panel.

I'm pretty stoked about the new iMac. Even thinner with a remote control? That's pretty awesome. Now if only it had a TV tuner built in...

I really hope Front Row has a smooth, sleek, Tivo/MythTV style interface for managing media and that they make it available to all Macintosh computers...because then I'd just have to buy a mini, soup up the hard drive, and bam! Better than a MythTv box.

Steve showing off demo of video from iPod to tv screen. Same mini jack connectors from iPod photos. :( Bummer.

I wonder what the highest res videos the iPod has enough power to decode and display on a TV is... It takes some pretty hefty CPU lifting to do high resolution/bittrate h.264, and if it's limited to some wimpy video quality, I'm not interested.
