So I am not allowed to post my view? Cause you shot that down in regards to trend on watch sizes and told me I am not adding anything and go away.

About those rude condescending comments, thanks champ, self reflect mate?

I will not reply on this tread again. Enjoy whatever watch you choose, best of luck.

Probably upset the OP. The 42 suits you much better IMO.

I'm not the boss, I just don't appreciate being talked down to. If you want to post constructive opinions then I think that's great. If you post things like "need I explain?" and "still confused?" then I think it's not adding anything helpful. I value your opinions on trends and watch sizes all the same

In which case Apologies. I should have chosen my words better.

I am 95% sure that I will be going with the 42mm SS w/Black Sports Band + Milanese Loop. I'm not too concerned about the fit of the sports band, since sizing for the small band starts at 140mm wrists, but I'm wondering if the milanese loop will fit correctly.

My wrist measures 155mm tight, and with the sizing of the band starting at 150mm, would this mean that the magnetic part would end up looping all the way around to where it is visible at the edge of my wrist? I like to wear my watches slightly snug, and I don't like the idea of seeing the magnetic clasp right next to the screen. It would annoy me. I'm trying to figure out where the clasp would most likely lay, with my wrist size.

I'm buying the exact same model and bands, with the exact same wrist size lol! But I most likely will buy the 38mm

I just think the 38mm might be more comfortable for me. I just don't want to miss out on screen space.

F, this is such a ridiculously hard decision. Why wouldn't they allow try-ons before pre-order. Damn it.

That really would have been the most logical thing. Granted, even getting to see them before 4.24 is nice.

Which one you going with?

Edit: I think I'm going 42mm. I'll tell you why. It does look a bit large on my wrist, and I am worried about the strap, but my fingers are kinda large, and drawing on the tiny one with one finger just doesn't seem as comfortable as the larger screen.

I'm so torn. I guess I'll order 42mm, and if it's not the right size, I can always wait a little.

My wife is easy. Her wrist appears to be 140mm. So I'll get her 38mm Black Modern Buckle (Small), since that goes from 135mm - 150mm. Even if I'm off with her measurement, that should be good.

I am going with the 38mm. I have always preferred smaller watches. This is the one I have on today. It is 40mm, but round, so I expect the square 38mm to be close to the same size. The width of the 42mm is what puts me off. It just is too wide for me personally.

here is a good chart to see the difference between round and square watches, In other words, if you usually wear a 42mm round I suggest going smaller.

Even a rectangle would hold true for the most part. It is pretty close to a square. It still is larger than a circle.

Not really. That chart equates a 42mm square watch to a 47mm round watch, when in reality, the 42mm :apple:Watch would equate to a 44mm round watch according to the chart. That is actually a big difference.
Also, this is purely by surface area, it's not going to necessarily translate into the :apple:Watch feeling that big due to how narrow it is combined with the fact that the lugs are very minimal or even nonexistent.

Just thought I'd add my latest photo wearing both sizes. My wife finally relented and spent time helping me decide what suited me best, and she quickly decided that the 38mm was too small, "100% you should get the 42mm", which sort of settles it for me! (my wrists are 174mm).

Oohhh, where do I get the PDF(?) to mock that? Thanks in advance!

I currently wear a Tag Carrera and looking at ordering both sizes in the Stainless Steel Case with Black Classic Buckle and see which fits my wrist best.

If i have the opportunity to go in-store before its shipped, i'll cancel one order.

I have a small / medium wrist and I will be getting the 42mm version of the Apple Watch. The smaller one I agree seems to be catered for women. I know some men will prefer a smaller watch, but the vast majority of people that I have spoken to about the watches - that has been the general consensus.

Can't wait to see them in real life! One thing these printed examples do not take into account are the rounded edges--they can make the actual item appear a little smaller.

I don't like the thinner band on the 38mm.

I'm gonna order the 42mm and hope I like it better than the 38mm :).

I'm gonna pre-order my wife's 38mm Black Modern Buckle Small and my 42mm Milanese Loop and then check them out at 5pm that evening to see if I made the right choice. If not, I'll switch my order. LOL.

I'm leaning toward the Milanese loop 42mm. My wrist measures about 171 mm; so I think there's still some room for me to lose a little more weight and be okay. I figure I can always pick up a link bracelet later if I feel like it doesn't fit me well.

Like most i'm confused. At first I thought when seeing them I thought the 42 would be to large for me. I printed out the templates and was shocked to see that the 42 isn't so large. It is large for me. (180mm-ish) But not freakishly large. So i'm confused. My watch that I would wear i find it too small for me, but then again i did get it when I was in 8th grade. It was considered like a junior size for I guess teens/smaller wrists  It seems to match the 38mm size which leads me to the 42. It's hard to tell with just a piece of paper and don't laugh at my cut-out skills, i failed that part of grade school :p
I've attached a few pictures thoughts.

do you actually wear your watch on your wrist bone? That is where it is in the picture and is the thickest part of your wrist. Either looks good though. If you wear it closer to your hand, I think the 42mm looks better. If you wear it on the other side of your wrist bone, the 38mm will look better.

Your normal watch looks closer to your hand and loose.

it is loose so it slides around. With the sensors on the back i'm going to have to get used to it being "strapped down" :p

You really can pull off either watch. I personally wear my watch further up my arm, on the other side of the wrist bone, so am going 38mm. The 42mm stretches the width of my wrist and is wide for my liking.

Why did they give us choice haha. If they gave us 1 size we would complain, now with 2 choices we are confused!
