iMessage isn't working and messages aren't being sent, apparently I'm not the only one.

Anyone else having problems?

Sh**t yes, not only imessage and face time, as Apple says. But ios appstore also not workin (last time worked 17 nov evening UK) after that nothing, "Can't connect to this sh**t itunes store" and somthing affecting to Youtube app same error

I'm on Verizon and iMessage is working perfectly for me. Been working for and hour and some change now.

iMessage works when sending to my email listed in imessages, but will not work when someone sends to my phone number. iMessages will not let me select my phone number that i can be reached at. iMessages still saying waiting to activate. What an absolute piece of crap.
Im in the same boat

I was having problems on Friday. Wife sent texts that never delivered and I also noticed problems redeeming on iTunes Store. Had problems all weekend, some (texts not iMessages) not delivering, some delivering minutes later. AT&T just activated LTE in my area too, so was wondering if that had anything to do with it since this didn't happen before then. Rebooted my phone and though oh crap, time to take it to the geekbar.

Mine was affected at around 4pm, but was restored shortly after. Not a huge deal but was a minor inconvenience. I had to bump over to SMS

Mine didn't work for like ~10 minutes.
Not sure whether it was due to this issue or something else.
Didn't really affect me in any way though. ;)

Tim Cook isn't up to the task of CEO. There have been multiple blunders as of late. The execution just isn't premium. Tim Cook needs to get control of Apples software...and even from an operational aspect Apple is suffering. No minis for days on end. Its been 3 months and you still cant walk into an Apple store and get an iPhone 5. Apple is just a mess right now without Steve Jobs holding the ship together.

Wow nice!

Tim cook is losing control. His job as CEO is clearly on the line at this point. Investors are going to want answers. He cant keep having these spectacular failures under his leadership and continue on as CEO. People were already skeptical of Apple hiring a CEO whos cor competency was not hardware/software. I think All of Apples upper management needs to check themselves and get serious about their software services if they want people to continue to pay a premium for thier hardware.

Then if you look at things from an operational perspective...Apple is suffering there too. You still cant walk i to an Apple Store and by an iPhone 5 in any model and its been out since September. The mini had almost no units available at all for sale. Its crazy really. Lte minis are taking far longer than people had expected and dates are pushed back from two weeks to months. Crazy! Tim's job as CEO is on the line.

i think alot of the stocks issue is not do with tim cook's ability, but simply where apple is heading: they are taking their physical craft of products to the xtreme, the unibody process was probably high maintenance but doing all the colour aluminium, and aluminium phones, iPads, with new ways to design how the glass meets the edge, callibrating iMacs on the line, a new process in welding iMac's unibody's together in conjunction with its rediculously unnecessary thin design - its no surprise.

There are many examples of Apple messes that happened under Steve Job's reign.

Do you remember the MobileMe launch? You know, the one that went sooooo poorly for such a long time that Walt Mossberg of the WSJ (you know, the one that never has anything negative to say about an Apple product/service) wrote the infamous "Apple's MobileMe is far too flawed to be reliable" review?

Do you remember scuffgate with the original iPad nanos, where Apple lost a class action lawsuit because they scratched so easily? Original owners were eligible for a settlement check worth $37.50. That was Steve Jobs.

Do you remember when the iMacs got the LED screens and many had the issue with the yellow tint? It took 16 weeks of owners and tech blogs hollering at them before they made their first public comment about it. Again, Steve Jobs.

Honestly, there are probably at least 10 other high profile examples of Apple not executing properly over the last 7 years. All under the helm of Steve Jobs.

When I look at Apple since Cook has taken over, it looks exactly like "business as usual". They're not perfect, but they don't seem to be messing up any more than they did before, either.

My LTE mini's original delivery date was NEXT Friday (11/23). It was delivered last Thursday AM (11/15). From reading the forums here, I'm not the only one receiving my LTE mini over a week early, either.

Signed out of my Apple ID, restarted my phone, and when the phone started it again it asked for my password immediately and it's working now!

EDIT: Just kidding, it's only sending from my email.

Push Notifications. White iPhone. Leopard. All delayed under Steve’s watch.

I'm on a 16GB Verizon iPhone 4 and I too cannot access iMessage. Would a complete restore of the phone help to rectify the problem?

Back up an hour ago for me. apple announcing all services restored. I have a feeling it's backend changes in prep for iTunes 11

I'm a little more pessimistic and assume it's just an outage. I'm wondering how Apple will push out iTunes 11 in just one more week since employees have Thanksgiving week off.

Apple Services are 100% working!

iPhone 5 still stuck on "Waiting for activation..." while my iMac can send iMessages.

iMessages working with email addresses because it probably was easy to verify those addresses. However, waiting to activate using phone number instead, is probably an issue with each mobile provider and trying to verify each phone number with iMessages. Throw in it's a sunday, and you probably have limited IT staff at both Apple and Mobile providers.
