Not wishing to be argumentative; these are new services added LONG since the birth of iPhone and they surely are not the reason anyone buys an iPhone. Therefore, they are bonuses. Bonuses for which there is no charge.
I was merely trying to back up my point that these are free services. A point that I stand by. You could have spent a lot more money than you spent on your iPhone on a device that runs Android, for example. In which case you wouldn't have iMessage or FaceTime at all. Don't get me wrong, I agree that if we're promised services we should be able to expect them but they haven't been withdrawn, they're just temporarily unavailable *shrugs*How is it a bonus when it's expected? This isn't washing detergent with 20% more bonus.
I'm not trying to argumentative either but
the fact that it was added later has nothing to with it.

Face palm.
Then it's not free if you must have a Apple device.
Free service would be something like Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, face book, etc.

Point taken. However, things go wrong occasionally. Washing machines break down, cars break down, networks break down... cause for hysteria?
Most definitely!Definitely not! But, on the internet, sometimes it seems like "perspective" is considered an outmoded concept.![]()
Tim Cook isn't up to the task of CEO. There have been multiple blunders as of late. The execution just isn't premium. Tim Cook needs to get control of Apples software...and even from an operational aspect Apple is suffering. No minis for days on end. Its been 3 months and you still cant walk into an Apple store and get an iPhone 5. Apple is just a mess right now without Steve Jobs holding the ship together.

Wow nice!

Tim cook is losing control. His job as CEO is clearly on the line at this point. Investors are going to want answers. He cant keep having these spectacular failures under his leadership and continue on as CEO. People were already skeptical of Apple hiring a CEO whos cor competency was not hardware/software. I think All of Apples upper management needs to check themselves and get serious about their software services if they want people to continue to pay a premium for thier hardware.
Then if you look at things from an operational perspective...Apple is suffering there too. You still cant walk i to an Apple Store and by an iPhone 5 in any model and its been out since September. The mini had almost no units available at all for sale. Its crazy really. Lte minis are taking far longer than people had expected and dates are pushed back from two weeks to months. Crazy! Tim's job as CEO is on the line.
Ummmm...Steve Jobs was dead when 4s/siri was released. How do you know Tim Cook's job is on the line?
Are you aware of the stock issues with both iPhones and iPads before Steve Jobs died? Clearly you are not.
Explain how iMessage being down and demand exceeding supply as a sign that Tim Cook has lost control. I seem to recall this thing called Siri and it not working out so well in the beginning (and sometimes now) when Steve Jobs was alive.
I love how everyone jumps on this idea that nothing bad ever happened when Steve Jobs was alive. It is as though he knew exactly how many iDevices to manufacture every launch and that there weren't QC issues before his death. Either we're dealing with a new generation of folks who weren't around long enough to know how things went before his death or we're dealing with people who are quite forgetful.

Im not the one who's forgetting anything. This is multiple scandals back to back in a short period of time. Tim's lost control. He's a great COO or wing man support person but he probably shouldn't be the CEO of Apple.
iMessage is working on my iPad and my Mac, but not my phone. Still says waiting for activation. Is it normal for it to be stuck on this for awhile?
