I agree with OP. I said in a different thread that I was not experiencing any issues with my phone and was told that "I" wasn't holding my phone correctly.

Then I try to talk about something wholly unrelated to the signal issue , and then I'm called a fanboy because not only do I not experience the signal issue (but understand that others do) , but I have the nerve to say how good the rest of this phone is.

//sigh

There have been many threads from people who have exchanged their phones. My phone works perfect, so obviously not all of the phones have issues. Instead of complaining that your phone isn't working, how about you take it back and exchange it? I don't really understand why you wouldn't. Unless you live in an area where the nearest Apple store is too far away, then I would understand. However, you can still return the phone to where you bought it because it has been less than 30 days. Then just purchase another one. Problem solved.

*facepalm*

I just have to ask here so bear with me:

Did you read the thread, or did you just read the OP (original post) and then reply based on the OP alone?

A few things....

I hope some of you realize that if EVERYONE was dropping every call they made on the iPhone 4, it would be HUGE NEWS.

Honestly why don't you all just take your phones back?

We don't need to hear about your reception issues and the fact that most of you don't believe that some of us are having a GREAT time with our iPhone 4's.

... That is just ridiculous and i'm tired of it. If you don't want the phone, take it back. If you want it to work, buy a case. It's as simple as that.

To your first point - maybe you missed all the coverage this past week about the issue. I'd consider that being big enough to warrant discussions. Is EVERYONE having an issue - no. But I don't think every pinto in 1974 blew up either.

To your second point - who is this "we" you speak of? We don't need to hear about the reception issues? I think you mean to say YOU don't want to hear about reception issues. Guess what - you don't have to. It's called not reading the threads. I see no correlation between people posting their genuine concerns and YOU personally enjoying your iPhone. If you're enjoying your iPhone - who gives a @#$% what other people's experiences are. Go enjoy it. Same way you're saying "go return it" if you're not happy.

Which brings me to my 3rd point. This whole "If you don't like it - return it" statement when posted in a NEW thread complaining about complainers is HYPOCRITICAL.

WHY? Because you should follow your own advice. If people aren't happy with their phones they should just return them? If you want to make that assertion - let me make one. If you don't like the threads complaining about any aspect of the phone - don't read them. Don't respond to them. Ignore them.

The second you create a thread or respond - you do so by your own choosing JUST LIKE someone who CHOOSES to keep their phone despite whatever flaws they see.

So stop for a second and take ownership of the issue. Before you post in a thread complaining about the complainers (or starting a new one like this) - maybe you should take a second and realize that you are a) contributing to the "noise" and b) perhaps should just move along to another thread you will enjoy reading.
