[Merged] Sprint / HTC Evo vs. iPhone 4

Love these posts, really going with the EVO because you played with your phone for what 5 hours possibly? Pics of the phone or I totally do not believe you.

At a minimum say you are going with the droid That EVO is the biggest POC and to have to deal with sprint on any level.

I like my wife's iphone4g and I just ordered one for myself. However, it is kind of strange that people here just cannot hear any negative thing about apple/iphone. Anybody who complained ends up getting some kind of personal attack.LOL....Apple/iphone is just a company and product we buy. why people are like that.....:eek:

By the way, sprint's service is much better than Att in my area. At least, I never dropped calls when I used spring. Att's signal is really terrible in NYC too. I almost switched to verizon when I was there. Iphone is the only reason why I stay with Att.
 
I'm going to sell mine too. I've heard that the Kin is a kick ass phone, plus I hate the fact that I didn't get any Apple stickers with my iPhone 4.

It's not that he is complaining about the iPhone..... It's HOW he does it. He goes over the "iPhone 4 bashing points" straight from the droid/evo play book. He just joined MR, he buys the phone because it's "popular". I just don't believe he is on the up and up. Like I said, if he shows a picture of his phone with his user name and receipt then I will gladly apologize.

I did read, however, than MS has only sold about 500 Kin phones, if that. Pretty pathetically funny, if you ask me. Apple has probably sold every single iPhone 4 that has been manufactured to date, probably around one million, you think?
 
I love Apple products,I have two MBP's, iMac, AppleTV, iPad and two iPhones but I was just so board with the iPhone since 2007 and I just wanted to try something new. I had the 4.0 betta on my 3GS and was not all that happy with the changes so I did make the switch to the EVO and I really thought I would regret the move but after a couple of weeks with the phone now and after seeing the new iPhone I'm really am happy with the EVO. I know everyone will say get out of here you troll but before you bash something you really should check it out first. The Android software really is nice and the one thing that really is nice abought it vs iTunes and one pc to sync only is I can plug my EVO in any computer and add any music pics or videos from any computer when you plug the phone in its like a usb stick so that makes adding anything you want from your work pc or home pc. Anyways the EVO is a vary nice phone so play with one before you just trash it and like I said in the begining I'm still a fan of Apple I just wanted to try something new.
 
There's really no reason for people to be jerks about it.

Sorry it didn't work out, OP. Good luck with the EVO. I hear good things. :)

That's pretty much 95% of all the posts in here.


That being said, I haven't jumped on the "I need to have the i4 wagon now" due to being its first release and you'll have those issues with any high tech phone period.

I'm sitting back patiently waiting and watching per se. :apple:

Haha.....yeah because everything on this site in reference to the iPhone is rainbows and butterflies.

Please....if I had a nickel for every negative post here I'd be able buy a majority stake in Apple.

I think its admirable that you are able to admit your own flaws and mistakes. This will serve you well with your next bad purchasing decision as a coping mechanism.

God forbid anyone be honest on this site. I posted a thread last week about which one to buy smart guy. Look it up since your obviously bored. I didn't know about the faulty antenna until today like most people when I couldn't complete a call. Be mad at Apple not me.

While I'm fairly sure that you are in fact a troll here just to screw with apple fanboys, I feel like I should point out (in the .01% chance you're new to the internet) that people like to make things up, especially when it causes angst and drama among people they dislike, precisely because they don't have to offer proof.

Without any form of proof that you own/owned an iPhone 4 besides your word, it is very unlikely anyone will take you seriously, but if you're one of the types that believes everything they hear/read, I, BuckeyeDonovan, am actually the King of Iceland. For serious.
 
Before you switch to the EVO 4G, you might want to do a google search on EVO 4G signal -iphone. The first result is titled, 'EVO wont stay connected to 4g signal'. The 2nd link is titled, 'HTC EVO 4G Signal Boosters Store' and the third link is titled, 'Poor reception signal strength on HTC EVO' Good luck buddy.

I was hoping for a rich phone experience. But all I have is a glorified ipod that just looks good. I will be switching to the Evo asap. If a bad battery is my only hurdle I'll take my chances. Not many new features on this phone either. Facetime is wi fi only which I knew before but with all these other problems I'm passing on the iPhone 4. Maybe I'll try again next year.

Regardless, just because you hold your hand on your phone doesn't make it automatically drop the bars - you have to be pressing against BOTH sides of the phone, towards the bottom where the two slits are - and you have to pressing pretty hard.
I'm sorry, but that's not how you hold a phone.
Stop complaining over trivial things - especially since EVERY phone on the market has this same flaw, your hands conduct electricity and you're holding a device that emits electrical impulses.
Learn, then proceed to complain.


ps; this problem doesn't drop calls, it's only your perception that makes you think you will drop a call.

Yeah pretty pathetic how kids are nowadays. Can't have an opinion without someone crying in they're diapers. The phone was poorly constructed. I bet Steve jobs loves these guys. Just put out trash and they flock to it like groupies. And just deal with a non functional phone.

Congrats on finally getting homescreen wallpapers. Maybe you ll get mobile hotspot within 5 years. I'll have my Evo in 2 days. Now I see why Droid people hate ifanboys. They act like 5th graders. Thanks for making my decision easier. I'll be using my mobile hotspot for free while you guys look stupid holding your iblown all weird trying to get a signal. :) :)
Don't go over your data caps. $$$$ steve jobs had brainwashed the masses.
