[Merged] The Office (USA Version)...Official Thread!

I am so happy that The Office is finally going to start again. This whole writers strike was just ridiculous. I'm not the kind of person who watches tv for 5-6 hours a day (maybe an hour every day) and it really sucked.

Just wondering if anyone watches The Office? I can't wait for the new season to start. Who's your favorite character? Has anyone taken the quizzes online to see who they are most like?
 
Michael is hysterical..........but I think Jim is such a hottie..........and so funny they way he taunts Dwight.

And the commercials during the olympics were hysterical:D:D:D
 
I'm excited...love this show!

Honestly, Michael is possibly my least favorite character. I like Steve Carrell, but his Michael Scott character is just too over the top for me, especially after seeing Ricky Gervais as the original office-manager in the BBC version. Ricky was believable; Steve just leaves me thinking "no one's boss is that ridiculously stupid and if they were, they wouldn't have lasted that long."

Anyway, my favorite characters are Jim and Pam. It's like Ross and Rachel except it's actually interesting, and you end up caring about the characters...maybe the first TV-relationship I've ever actually cared about! Besides them, I loves me some Creed. Subtle and you don't see him much, but when you do it's always funny. And creepy.
 
I can't wait for this season, and my favorite character would have to be Jim with his pranks on Dwight, with my favorite prank being the "Fax from the Future."
 
You definitely hit the nail on the head when you said creepy about creed. I didn't like him at first. Just weird. But I went to the NBC site and he's really a talented musician.

Michael is over the top, but I definitely liked the American version better. But the BBC one which started it all is kind of cute.

I love Dwight and the beet farm. And the one when Pam and Jim stayed at his B & B That was so funny.
 
The Office UK Version FTW!!!!!! US Version is just an unfunny rip off:( which is a shame as it has potential.

If you haven't watched it lately, you should really give it another chance. After the first few episodes, I didn't really like it, but it got so much better. I like both, and the US version is very funny (unlike a lot of shows this country copies).

Well speaking of Pam (Jenna Fischer), she's single in real life now. She and her husband broke up several months ago.

Personally I think Jim is hot...........Oh, I think I already said that. I find Michael really icky, but feel sorry for him. Especially now that Jan is pregnant.:(:(:(

Northy..........That's why you're Scottish. We all have different tastes. Friends coupling etc.

Even Clark Shoes............Well they had to fancy them up for us Americans.....We just like things a bit different in the states. So take a chill pill. I was actually toning it down. I don't find much funny about the Brit version. So............I guess a lot has changed since my family left the UK

I wasn't correcting everything that was my opinion and so what I made one small mistake.
 
My favorite office character is Pam, quite cute, definitely girlfriend material if you worked in the office. Can't wait for the season premier on the 25th I believe.

I love my Red Sox as well, looking forward to hopefully a Yankee free playoff year, I can't decide what's better: winning the World Series or seeing the Yankees miss the playoffs.

OMG.......If I ever had a boss like him. It would be just too funny.

What about the pocket book girl. That was so funny. Michael thought he was going to take her home. He got Dwight to clean out his car, but she went home with Jim. That was hysterical.:D:D:D

Okay, I started to read some of the other post, but then some of the plot was given away, so no more reading for me (I only watch the episodes on DVD, I hate waiting a week to watch a new episode, if that makes sense).

My favorite character is Dwight Shrute, and of course his relationship with Jim and Michael Scott.. I got my family members into the show as well.

I don't know who I'd be most like. And the only online test I've taken is 'How much do you know The Office'
