Well on the bright side..

AT&T in-store preorders didn't go the traditonal route.. and stores will have our phones on the 18th.. Though they probably won't sell them until the 19th =[


Ours aren't on international shipping as they were sent via freight to the US then separated with our labels via US UPS Next Day Air.

Uhh..its going to be held into kentucky then sent to your hub then onto a truck....but UPS has been moving product from Kentucky for YEARS. Why does everyone think this time will be different?

Don't worry dude, just thunderstorms and rain. Nothing severe. No tornadoes.

This is the only time I've felt moderately cool because I live in Louisville.

Oh sorry. Since they are all there now I assume they would hold them at the Kentucky hub. BUT if all of your batch orders are on the same pallets as the Apple store, ATT , Best buy and walmart stock, then I could see them moving them tonight.

I know for a fact that Apple Stores receive products via UPS (maybe not for everything but certianly for high priced goods). But still, I've had stuff sent from New York to Seattle over night with no problems many of times so...they just stuff it on a flight (or their own carriers) and move it down, scan it and throw it on a truck. Not too difficult for those guys.
 
Dammit, I really wanted to get my iPhone on Thursday... My 3G just shipped out today to an eBay buyer. Now I will be without an iPhone for 2 FULL DAYS! What in the hell am I going to do? The iPhone was the perfect antisocial device.

(that was the first real update that my tracking number has shown me other than billing) i expect not to be able to get it until friday but it sure is fun to dream!! interesting that it didn't originate in China, though. Has anyone else who ordered from AT&T store gotten this?
 
SO, with the holds for Apple shipments until friday delivery it looks like the AT&T in store orders will be handed out FIRST!! :D :D

My store told me they will be open at 7am to hand out the pre-orders only. It will be interesting watching those in line as we breeze by.

WAIT WHAT?!

I ordered from an AT&T Store but I'm stillin getting "Billing Information has been Received"

And I'm 20 miles from Dallas!

And AT&T In-Store items are on Next Day Air not World Shipments like Apple.com

That "Hold" notice quite possibly just dashed any hopes of this thread being a record setting one. ;)

Like all of you, I have been following my package, and only just now noticed that package "has experienced an exception" and is currently in Louisville, KY. I'm disappointed. I'm guessing that your suspicions are correct, and Apple is putting a hold on the shipments at the Kentucky hub until Thursday. It would make sense that they would want to get the phones to the lower 48, and then hold them until the right time.
 
Just received the shipment notification in my email at 11:02PM PST. Shipped from Shenzhen, China to San Diego. Estimated delivery is June 19.

Yep, it looks like you guys will be the winners. But I will enjoy sleeping in until 10ish, getting up and signing for a package, then plugging it into my computer, all without having to go to an ATT store too early.
