Haha. Yeah, guess it could be a festive atmosphere. Hopefully I'll be home playing with my new phone. Ordered straight from Apple with home delivery. If not, I'll probably survive playing with my older phone and OS 3.

Plenty of other sites claiming "AT&T says..." Your Friday, I was just responding to your original question r/e the strategy. AT&T stores are boring to me, but maybe not to everyone.

Order mine last thursday on AT&T's Premier site.
Still stuck at "We have received your order request, and we expect to begin processing it shortly. "

Last time when they came out with the 3G, there were lots of phones left on launch day at my local ATT store here in urbane and sophisticated Green Bay, WI so I have no doubt it would work just fine.

So is everybody else from the Premier site. For some reason I think they give priority to new customers instead of us. I have been posting on the ATT site and not one premier person has gotten any update...I am about to call ATT and ask what's up.
lucky! man my order date was june 11th. looks like theyll change my order status tomorrow or hopefully by the end of the work day today.
question, when u track it, is it also coming out of china?
I wouldn't bank on that one. Looks like we may be hosed. I also bought mine online last week from AT&T's premier site and paid extra for overnight delivery. I just spoke to their customer service (866-499-8008) and the Supervisor explained that it may ship on the 18th, but it's not guaranteed. Otherwise, it will ship on the 19th for a delivery the following Monday b/c there are no overnight Saturday deliveries......to which I asked her, "why would I pay for overnight delivery, if it's not even guaranteed to be delivered on the release date (baring any backorders, which I would understand)? I could've just ordered from Apple or a local AT&T store for in-store pick up!?!"......she said that she didn't know and that's all the information she had! I hope she's wrong and it ships out Thursday for a Friday delivery. Otherwise, I'm gonna be pissed!
If anyone else orderd from AT&T's Premier Online store, and has different or more information about deliveries, please let me know!

Sorry to re-rain on your parade, but I don't think this will work either. Not because of any supply issues, but because you already used up your substitute pricing/early upgrade pricing with the order that will be shipped to you on friday.
So if you'd go into an Apple store on Friday they'd tell you you're not eligible for an upgrade and you'd need to shell out the FULL price.
It sucks, I know.

Ordered mine through the Premier site Friday morning on June 12th. Still getting the "we are still processing"
Haven't ordered from Apple's online store before... Aside from iPhone, they usually have what I need right in the store. They email upon shipment, correct?
I love it when people cooperate with my neurotic behavior.

Does anyone that is porting a number to ATT from another carrier (for their iphone order) have a tracking number yet?
I think all of us that are porting numbers from other carriers are getting the shaft with our pre-orders

Just a thought, has anybody with a 32gig get the shipment confirmation?
Looks like I'm only seeing people with 16gb version getting shipped but not 32gb.. I have a pre-order for 32gb via AT&T and don't have a shipment confirmation and I ordered early in the week too.

I ordered through the phone, ATT premier store on the 10th and have yet to receive a confirmation email. I called up and they said they're still processing the order and that they'll be shipping from ATT on the 19th. I'm hoping she didn't know what she was talking about.
