JUST got the shipment email from apple 1 minutes ago! On it's way via fed ex to be delivered tomorrow! Finally! I ordered June 15, 8:30 am ET
 
Just copy and pasted my tracking # from the email i received this morning and it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, WOOOHOOO!!! Now i play the waiting game which will be really hard causing i'm already impatient to start with so this is killing me.

If apple didn't plan ahead, that is THEIR problem and their shipping problem to get them to customers on time, so Apple can eat the shipping cost.

If 95% of people who pre-ordered within a decent time, say, before Tuesday, do not get their product, same on Apple. Maybe next time, I'll produce enough and have them at least 2 days in this country before the release date. This is not a good business model imo.

Bro, I think he meant some might be getting the email late because of the amounts. Chill out, if you ordered before yesterday, you'll get the phone tomorrow.

"Your package is on time with a scheduled delivery date of 06/17/2009"
Then that is when UPS plans to deliver it. They don't care what Apple says, they have all the power at this point and if Apple forgot to schedule a delivery date of 06/19, the it is their loss and there is nothing they can do at this point.

There is a reason you don't see anyone's delivery date for the 15th or the 16th. The delivery dates for homes and the stores are the 17th-19th.

Apple will not risk it being held up and shipping the week after. There would very disappointed people. This is why the need more than an 8-10 hour delivery window on Friday. They will deliver between the 17th and the 19th.

You mean everyone who was 100% ZOMG!!11 sure that they were getting their phones before the 19th was wrong? I never would have guessed!

Oh wait, I did, along with 200 others who have common sense.
 
Sometimes this thread is like watching a bad racing accident... its painful to read, but for some reason I can't turn away.
 
ARGH...my new iphone is sitting in the ATT store waiting on me to pick it up, but I just called and was told tomorrow. THAT SUCKS....damn so close but yet sooo far.

Has anyone been able to get a store to give them to them early? If so tell me how they were able to pull it off...I want mine now...

Okay, enough pathetic whining. The reality is, UPS is probably swamped with people like me refreshing their pages every 2 minutes, they probably went out and told all the UPS guys, "quit scanning the iPhones!!!"

Here's hoping that I'll still have a box in my hands today, here's expecting I won't see it until tomorrow.

Mine is on my way to the AT&T store. I really really doubt they will give it to me early but I might call and ask when it gets there. It can't hurt to ask.
 
Am i the only waiting for my tracking info to leave hong kong?? I have been stuck import scan for almost 12 hours
 
does anybody know how to do the pre-qualifying credit check on the at&t website or was that it when there was a hold on my account and went away???
