They are so kind! to send me an email saying: "Your iPhone is here!!!" it states as follows:
"Your iPhone is ready and can be picked up at your local AT&T store as early as June 19th. For your convenience AT&T stores will open at 7 AM on June 19th."
but you can't get it till tomorrow!!!!!

Uh oh...i just called UPS and gave them my tracking number, and they said it was arriving monday. I then said it was an iphone, and she put me on hold and talked to her manager. She then said that although she has been told that it was guaranteed the 19th, My package will not arrive until monday because it is still in China.
Has anyone actually called UPS and asked for a estimated arrival date? Because my online tracking had an arrival date of the 19th until yesterday, when they took away a arrival date from my tracking number completely...

It seems that everyone is more nervous about getting their new Iphone than if they were expecting a baby. The first day we will all being excited and by the second day we will realize that the new phone looks and feels just like my 3G and it still sends and receives phone calls and email. Hohum.
At work today I found out that there are 4 of us waiting for iPhones. I'm the only one so far with his phone in the states. Most ordered their phones about the same time.
I wanted to get the guys together to do a 60's sort of thing. We'd make up some posters and go to the local UPS store and picket chanting, "Free the cell phones! Free the cell phones! Free the cell phones now!!
But no one wanted to be activists and so the cell phones will have to sit in corporate dungeons until the MAN decides to let them go.

Now it is someone's job to analyze some of those frames and see if they can read that invoice.
I ordered mine the first day, knowing I wanted upgrade my Gen 1 phone right away. It really is hilarious watching all this anxiety over deliveries. I have a PMB at my local UPS store. They send me an email as soon as a package arrives. It looks like it will arrive on Friday as advertised but if not, so be it. I might wait till Monday anyway just to avoid the activation mess over the weekend.
My local AT&T store just called informing me they received my iPhone.
HOWEVER, they also notified me that I was NOT allowed to come in until I received a phone call from them notifying me it was okay to come in. Apparently, and I'm not sure if this is just that particular AT&T branch or nationwide, but the 7am line is for new customers/recent iPhone 3G purchasers who wanted to switch to the 3GS or something like that.
Frankly, I didn't have the patience to argue, and I didn't plan to be there at 7am anyways, but has anyone else received these calls? They're telling me I should receive a call around noon and should be able to come in then.
i'd still be there at 7..... ever other at&t store (and now apple) is opening at 7 for pre-orders.... i'd tell them to stuff themselves in the morning!

I'm in your boat now. Waiting for mine to make it up to Green Bay. It usually does go through oak creek, than out for delivery. I do hope ups updates some information soon because this anticipation is killing me!!

Waiting in Green Bay also. Now all we need is the long promised 3G data service to come here. They've been saying "soon" to that since the 3G iphone came out.... However, mine is coming via Fed Ex.
so my iphone's status changed to shipped at 9 this morning, but it still hasn't actually been picked up by fedex. It has to get to the bay area by tomorrow, I don't see how that's going to be possible if they don't pick it up soon.. I'm starting to get scared :O
Last i heard it was coming this was (green bay/Appleton) in july or august...I hope for sooner rather than later, but i guess beggars can't be choosers right now!

Over 2 days of sitting around doing nothing, they've waited so damn long that it might be late now....DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
Sounds like you may be screwed, they released those holds early this morning and they should be on a plane to their destination center now for delivery in the morning.
