Yeah, definitely seems like line management to me.

Don't quite understand why they felt the urge to lie to me though, feeding me some line about how the 7am line had been changed for potential new customers, as opposed to telling me straight up that they wanted to enforce a little line management so as to avoid a circus in the morning. Did she think I was going to cry and pout?

Anyways, if anyone's interested, it was the at&t store in 24th street in NYC.

So are we the ordered about a week ago on the Apple Store crew that were all excited about getting it on Wednesday....because it was friggin very possible if it were not part of Apple's "release party"?
 
My iPhone 3GS 32GB black was ordered on 6/16 and it was shipped today from Middletown, PA. It will arrive at my house tomorrow, 6/19 by 3pm EST in Northern Virginia. :)
 
Has anybody else had AT&T not call them? My iPhone was delivered to them about 5 hours ago. Still, nothing.

ok.... i've done good all day.... haven't called ups (or apple) once today! (but i have refreshed my ups tracking numbers a gizzilion times!) but this post did me in..... i read it and had to call about my iphones.... they say they are both still being delivered tomorrow....

i told him that a LOT of iphone peeps were gonna be mad at ups if they didn't get our iphones to us... he said he knew that! :D (i also asked if they were going to be glad when this was all over with and people stopped calling and he very nicely said it was fine! then probably cursed me after we hung up!)

I ordered mine 6/16 at 9:45pm, and I just got my tracking number with delivery due to happen tomorrow.

Good luck on the 3G network from AT&T. We've been waiting in Champaign/Urbana, IL for since it was first announced. Being a university town we figured we'd be sure to get one early. Hasn't happened yet, and no real hope for the near future.

So the data is a bit slower, the phone is going to be so much better than my plain Verizon flip phone. :D

I know this isn't anything new, but i got off the phone with ups and he said, like we all know, apple put a hold on the shipping of the phones until tomorrow. He said that from what he could see, my phone will be delivered at 10:30 tomorrow morning. So for anyone who's phone is stuck in KY, rest assured! :)

Hmmm, ever think they are still sitting at Worldport cause they not need to move yet? If it is in Louisville now you will have your phone tomorrow no matter where you live in the US!

On UPS's site I only see
UPS World Ease (I don't See express)

is it the same thing as ---> Worldwide Express

which should guarantee delivery by 12 noon.

Yah, how many times have you clicked on the next page only to get thrown back to the page before because it isn't really ready yet. It is interesting...this software has learned that the pages will just keep on coming so it just gets it over with.

well, after being on hold for an hour with apple, they told me it would be here tomorow 100%....

BUT, UPS is still telling me when i called that its coming on monday 100%...

maybe its just me, but once its left apples hands, i trust UPS' word when it has to do with when my phone is getting to me...

Yeah, I got it with Edge warts and all anyway for the hardware upgrades alone. Att roll out took forever for Edge too as I recall.
 
3 hours just to go from one side of a city to another...is traffic really that bad in Memphis?? :confused:

If it's guaranteed by the 19th, how many ****ing times do you have to call!? Seriously, you people need to do something productive as opposed to bothering UPS and Apple all day, and guessing what planes your phones are on. It's a damn phone.
