The rep gave me the canned response that all the phones had been put on hold and should arrive tomorrow. He asked that I check the tracking status later tonight for an update. But the bad news is that he then added I should check the status in the morning and if there's still no movement to call them again.

The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times.

Alot of phones are sitting at that status right now; it means the package will be delivered tomorrow - it's being held in the hub in KY until then.

Well, im on the phone with them now because UPS told me 100% it will NOT come tomorrow...

she is talking to a manager to get me a refund because they couldnt match the promised delivery date.

then, i will just go wait in line tomorrow...

Sorry buddy, I ordered from the Apple Online Store.

Mine's shipping FedEx. Just like every other Apple Product I've bought online.
 
i'm kinda annoyed that apple scheduled delivery for a friday, and then shipped ups which doesn't deliver on the weekend, thereby guaranteeing that IF something happened and they didn't make the deadline, we would go an extra 2 days where there is not a chance in h*ll that we'd get it.

not saying ups won't pull thru, but for those still in china or alaska...
 
I finally got the shipping email from Apple early this AM (6am PST). But it has not moved :( It is shipping FedEx to my house and has been listed as shipment information sent to FedEx ( 10 hours now) It is listed as delivering on June 19th, but I am worried as it is not moving. Anyone else in the same boat? Ordered from Apple, shipping from domestic location, not China.

Well, that's great and all, but not everyone is near an Apple store and I would be worried that the local AT&T stores may not have enough stock and may sell out.

In about 2 hours it should move to Memphis, TN.

Tell me about it. Unless all these phones magically move to where they should be, Apple dropped the ball and screwed a lot of people who ordered early, including myself.

Same. It's overnight shipping, it'll be delivered.

Yes, Apple is using both UPS and FedEx for the iPhone orders.

Looks like early ships went via UPS International Express and last minute fulfillments (order date did not seem to be part of this decision) are going FedEx. Some early orders were just now fulfilled and shipped FedEx.

So you both get to be right on this one....:)

if they don't get here friday, i'm sure apple will pull thru and give some kinda credit for those they guaranteed for the 19th, kinda like when they dropped the price on the original iphone then gave those that paid more a credit back. i hope. just annoying.
