They did not want to push them to the local hub because some might slip through early. They know what they have and where it needs to go. It will get there. They load trucks early in the morning right before they pull out.

hope so :)

FIRST AGAIN that makes 2
what now mxchristian

That makes sense. Mine has been in KY since the 16th. Doesn't make sense. You think they would want to get it as close to me as possible and ready to be loaded for delivery tomorrow morning. I'm assuming they load the trucks overnight, so I can't imagine mine is still in KY.

On a side note. I went to the Apple Store today and bought an Incase Slider and Anti-glare Film so that I'm all ready for tomorrow. Unfortunately its going to be sitting on my desk all day at work until I leave, while I watch the clock all day long.

also, if you watched that video posted wayyyy back - how stuff works ups - you'd know that ky is just a sorting station. they said packages are in and out of the building in 15 minutes. didn't seem like it was a big warehouse. it gets there, gets sorted, then moves to the final destination. i think they are sitting locally, tracking page just not updated.

this is the video for those not wanting to search back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcsk9nEKPGM

Tracking Updates

I do a lot of business with UPS, both sending and receiving.

UPS tracking with Global packages is usually not as good as domestic US.

I have gotten several things shipped from China. A lot of times, you will just see the "billing information received" and get no updates until the UPS guy shows up at your door.

There may be some issue with Customs, although I can't imagine them holding pallets of iPhones.

But tracking status not being updated on global shipments doesn't necessarily mean anything is delayed.

Hope mine gets here Friday, but won't be the end of the world. The 3GS is nice, but nothing like the original or last years move to 3G. I mainly want to get my 3GS, so I can give my current 3G to my wife. Her old 2G iphone is about to die.

:pSo when everyone gets their phones tomorrow.. how many of you are going to get lost somewhere and use your mms and video to document the adventure of getting home and your gps and compas to find the way... or you gonna puss out and use the phone to call a cab?:p

no mms support due to at&t's homo-ness ;)

It also said it's a 550 acre facility... That's big, even in Texas. As another poster said (and flight schedules confirm) the majority of the activity is between 11PM and 3AM, so I think we'll see stuff start to move then.

I took tomorrow off thinking it would be here and I could activate it and play with it all day. Of course that was when we foolish ones believed that it would come on the 17th or 18th. Now, since I'm having it shipped to work, I have to go to work and actually work until it arrives then I can leave.

The sacrifices we have to make for our toys!:D

Anyone else with fedex get their info or still stuck in "shipping info received"

I still have the shipping info received, no doubt it will come tomorro though, cause I really doubt that they would scan 40,000 iphones just to make the trecking updates. Thank Positive :)

again.. another joke.. lol come on quit bein so uptight

Yeah I know, that was funny.

You know what else is funny?

The commercial I'm watching right now.

It's the commercial for Bing.com for Microsoft.

The 'search overload' one where everyone adds on to what other people say that's completely unrelated.

Anyone else seen it?

This GIF represents what will be happening to many a UPS man tomorrow as the brave the elements to deliver iPhone's to crazed Mac Addicts all over the US:
