Actually, just checked that section..
This is probably the longest thread in Macrumors.
my tracking says it is in Hong Kong...and i called and they told me the same thing... "guaranteed delivery on the 19th, pending customs clearance"
we should get an award! Like... um..... i dunno an article in the NYTimes lets say front page!

my iphone is one of those stuck in alaska.
she said it is pending customs clearance.
customs isn't done in alaska, but in louisville.
but everything moves overnight to louisville AND to your local hub in the timeframe alloted.

That makes sense. Mine has been in KY since the 16th. Doesn't make sense. You think they would want to get it as close to me as possible and ready to be loaded for delivery tomorrow morning. I'm assuming they load the trucks overnight, so I can't imagine mine is still in KY.
On a side note. I went to the Apple Store today and bought an Incase Slider and Anti-glare Film so that I'm all ready for tomorrow. Unfortunately its going to be sitting on my desk all day at work until I leave, while I watch the clock all day long.

customs is done at the point of entry to the US. Alaska. from what i'm told. yesterday UPS told me alaska cleared customs. today they are saying KY. inconsistent msgs...
my rep said that he's supposed to say it will be there tomorrow but in all honesty he knows what's happened and that he's sure it won't be there tomorrow. Blergh!

Even though my phone is sitting in my local AT&T Store already (woo! sorry dudes and dudettes...) for those waiting on shipments, I have seen package tracking show up at my local facilities at something like 7:30AM before and been out for delivery by 8AM (or something similar).
Also, I've had UPS tracking not show me anything or show me the completely wrong thing until I had the actual delivery.
Based on this, you just never know what is going to happen, so just keep those fingers crossed.
