Hi,

can someone tell me does apple store charge credit card immediately after iphone order, or only put money on hold.
And is anyone here who ordrered iphone 3gs without contract using hack with firebug? Any info about shipping these phones?

Any Valid AT&T tracking #'s ????

Do any of you guys that ordered in an AT&T store have a valid tracking number yet? If not, do any of you guys with UPS knowledge know when/where these tracking numbers may go live?? I know this thread is mostly about home delivery, put us in the store pickup crowd are just as anxious to make sure they make it here on time, lol. :D
 
lmao! This is great! I'm having a blast just reading all this and seeing everyone going crazy over the iPhones. Couldn't see myself having more fun anywhere else

I was told earlier in this thread that the reason why we don't have a valid tracking number is because the iPhones are shipping in bulk. There are probably 50 in a box going to the AT&T store so each individual iPhone does not get scanned.

When FedEx and UPS hold packages it happens at the local station, not the sorting center. So if Apple has requested iPhones be held that will happen when they get to the local station. The scan will read something like "Package Arrival - Exception: Not Due For Delivery."

I know a lot of people are getting happy but if you want to avoid being let down then don't jump for joy until you see those magic words "Package on Van," or "Out for Delivery."

Only flaw in your logic is the UPS Tracking Report shows a delivery date of ... wait for it....

Your package is on time with a scheduled delivery date of 06/17/2009. :eek:

I predict that phones will be delivered on Friday and not before. I also predict that emergency rooms all over the country will be inundated with panic attacks from people on this thread. Hang in there everyone. Friday is not here yet. It will be okay.
 
im just waiting for us 8th/9th early buyers to get our tracking number tonight, saying it will ship tomorrow like the rest of ppl getting theirs the 17th...


gonna suck for a lot of ppl who need to be home to sign for it, and only get 1 day notice lol

Not really a problem. If you're not home, grab the door tag left by the driver (or just use your tracking number) and call the 1-800-PICK-UPS number, speak the word "Agent" and tell him or her to place the package on "will call." You can generally go to the local UPS center at 9pm the same day and pick it up in person.

I got mine on the 8th and have a tracking number.

So how do you know the age of the person he spoke to? He didn't even say that it was in an Apple store.

I'm sorry but it's just annoying when people talk like they know exactly what is going on, when in reality, they have no clue either. They may come out early, but you don't know that for sure.

I'm With You.. Mine Says Exactly The Same Thing..... Delivery Date Is Still Tomorrow The 17th Though....
