I honestly think he's right, just not the part about the phones being held.

Go look at the Apple thread where they haven't shipped yet.

They're all starting to change to preparing to ship or shipped.

It's mostly people who ordered early as well.

I think that the Apple phones that are shipping now are the ones for people who ordered later, and this is to fullfill the increased sales volume of phones ordered during that time period.

Us ATT people already have our phones here, as well as early apple orders.

That's why we have nothing yet.

I am one of those people and mine still is in progress. Who the hell knows...one thing I can say is this entire thread is hilarious!

Alright... for all the plane trackers out there... who has the flight/info for my phone coming out of Kentucky and in to Kansas City (MCI)?

i just called apple the guy said there are tons already in USA and us early buyers will have our phones shipped from right in the USA thats why we dont have tracking info yet because they wont ship until thursday.

now for the ppl who have shipped, it will be held in stage right after customs for 2 days, so they will be near you, just take an extra day waiting at the hub until you get it friday

we will get them friday, and no sooner, as i was assured by apple rep
Actually the "early" orders from June 8 are currently on the ground in AK waiting for the next hop of UPS 63 to KY aka the UPS Hub aka Worldport. Enough tracking reports have now been posted to prove the June 17 delivery for the units that are on UPS 063 from HK.

My Spies in HK tell me the flight crew was all smiles as they boarded with their special cargo for this flight.

NOOO!!!

I sympathize for iPhone 3GS pre-orderers in those zip codes.

Luckily, I'm in 22079!

MXchristion11!

Just Kidding...that hillbilly comment and all.

I gotta tell you these folks that work in the hub are some of the hardest working people i have seen. Motivated too, they have a work.tuition program with University of Louisville, so its more than an hourly job for most.

I ordered June 8 and my order status still says "Prepared for shipment". Maybe my iPhone missed its flight!

It is because you doubted UPS.

Oh my goodness guys, you just literally gave me a hard attack!!!! hahah
WOW!!!

Not nice!

My whole family on my moms side are all Okies haha
So, please do not take that joke racially or w/e.

When FedEx and UPS hold packages it happens at the local station, not the sorting center. So if Apple has requested iPhones be held that will happen when they get to the local station. The scan will read something like "Package Arrival - Exception: Not Due For Delivery."

I know a lot of people are getting happy but if you want to avoid being let down then don't jump for joy until you see those magic words "Package on Van," or "Out for Delivery."

What happens when it get to Louisville? Do they then break the shipment down and FLY them to the other hubs?

Flying along behind UPS 63 as it approaches Alaska

Here is the pic...

Unless your parents own a UPS store and you can get the packages even if there is a hold on them :)

I have worked in the HUB, i never saw anything held. Once it comes in it is full speed sorting and routing. As fast as everyone can go, except maybe the tug drivers! The only delays forecast is for zip codes 92562 92563 92564.

whatsup with murietta?
