I thought it said PANIC in all caps yellow letters also, and jumped to a lot of conclusions in a split second.

i just called apple the guy said there are tons already in USA and us early buyers will have our phones shipped from right in the USA thats why we dont have tracking info yet because they wont ship until thursday.

now for the ppl who have shipped, it will be held in stage right after customs for 2 days, so they will be near you, just take an extra day waiting at the hub until you get it friday


we will get them friday, and no sooner, as i was assured by apple rep

That contradicts what UPS told me. They said there is no hold on the package what so ever and that I'll have it thursday before 10:30 even though tracking says tomorrow.

I honestly think he's right, just not the part about the phones being held.

Go look at the Apple thread where they haven't shipped yet.

They're all starting to change to preparing to ship or shipped.

It's mostly people who ordered early as well.

I think that the Apple phones that are shipping now are the ones for people who ordered later, and this is to fullfill the increased sales volume of phones ordered during that time period.

Us ATT people already have our phones here, as well as early apple orders.

That's why we have nothing yet.

yep i ordered 32gb white iphone 3gs night of the 9th, been sitting at prepped for shippment for a while

its cuz its already in america, probably was before they even announced the dang phone lol.


99.9% of ppl will not get it early

just waiting for the tons of threads of ppl complaining when the tracking info re-updates

I have worked in the HUB, i never saw anything held. Once it comes in it is full speed sorting and routing. As fast as everyone can go, except maybe the tug drivers! The only delays forecast is for zip codes 92562 92563 92564.

This is wrong. For one thing you talked to an 18 yr old that works in a Mac store and is only informed by the same crap that we have heard. He is no insider and he knows nothing more than we do.

We will get ours early....no later.

I sympathize for iPhone 3GS pre-orderers in those zip codes.

I ordered the following morning and am still waiting for any tracking information. Trying to be patient, but it's hard. My current phone has been riding a raw nerve for the past few months, and I can't wait to hurl it out a window (or at least into a box) when my iPhone gets here.
