I pre-ordered a black 16gb from an ATT store on 6/11/09.

OMG I HATE U, still in progress for me.

Did they overnight everyone's phones? I don't recall even paying for overnight. I think I chose the default shipping but UPS shows as:

EXPRESS

does that mean overnight?

i thought it was suppose to go through customs in anchorage, alaska?

That's from what I personally understood, regardless, the process is what slows it down I believe. If it wasn't for that the delivery date for tomorrow would be more likely, at least for me.

Well,

no. Express is often seen as a misnomer for overnight, but this is not the case. Often express means 2-3 days, or something similar.

Now there are about 30 different places promising 45 different delivery times / dates / ranges, so i would just go by your emails and what the site says.

DON'T WORRY! You will get it, and while I agree it SUUUUCKS that it may come late and it comes on Monday (I would be pissed, too), at least it wasn't destroyed / delayed more.

But don't worry - Apple will keep their promise

I have mentioned this in a couple of threads, but I ordered on the 10th and due to AT&T taking forever to process, my order status page says the order date was the 12th since that is the day it showed up on the status page.

Does anyone know if this means AT&T considers my order as having happened on the 10th or 12th? If they consider it the 12th, I have a good feeling I will not be getting it Friday :(

AT&T Customer - but getting my 1st iPhone

I have been an AT&T customer for years. I ordered my 32G iPhone 3G S via Apple's website and hope to get it by Friday <<fingers crossed>>. This is my 1st iPhone.

How will I make the switch from my current Samsung to my new iPhone. Is it as easy as moving the SIM card? I have not seen a SIM card slot and I have heard it is hard to get inside the iPhone. Will I NEED to take it in to an AT&T store to make the switch?

How about moving my Contacts?

BTW, I have not used iTunes and have heard I will need to download it to be able to use my iPhone. Is this true?

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Any possibility that they split the shipments to go to Ontario CA AND Kentucky?

While I agree that the phones are likely going to Louisville... for those wondering about a west coast flight... it's currently off the Oregon coast.

UPS 65 enroute from Alaska to Ontario

Yes there is a flight to Ontario, and yes, it may easily have iPhones on it.

However, no one will really know until those who live on the West Coast actually get their updates.

I live on the East Coast so I always get the ones through Louisville, but from my understanding almost all of them went through Louisville but we will see...

I'm such a nerd...

Has anyone else not been able to sleep because of being so excited. I'm a HUGE Apple fan and this is my first iPhone. BTW T-Mobile sucks...:apple:iMac 20" 2.6 ghz 2gb ram 320gb hard drive; 16gb black iPhone 3gs:apple:

Good news and bad news, the "Saver" pushes the deliver out to Next business day delivery by 3:00 or 4:30 p.m. where UPS Next Day Air® delivery is committed by 10:30 a.m. or 12:00 noon, respectively.

This shouldn't matter for those of us who ordered in store and will have to wait until Friday anyways. So as long as they get them on Wednesday or Thursday, we'll be able to pick them up first thing in the morning.

Yes, we know that UPS 065 from AK to Ontario is not transporting iPhones unless China became part of South Korea. Flight 65 originated in Incheon International.

When I called UPS earlier she told me it would be here the 18th before 10:30. Truth to that?

That shouldnt matter though. The store will still get it before Friday morning. It's not like they wouldve given out Thursday no matter what time it came in.
