That's what I thought as well. Most people won't even see the reference at all.

True but steve will and the expression "Cut off your nose to spite your face" is making me think that verizon just screwed their chances to get the iPhone.

It wouldn't suprise me if Apple did take that Rumored Cdma prototype to sprint. That would be a big threat to verizon and sprint seems to me as being more datacentric than Verizon is.

I was thinking that too. It could signal no chance of a Verizon iPhone in the near future.

I would assume that Motorola placed the ad...and not Verizon. I didn't see anything about the Verizon network or a logo on there. But maybe that's just me.

The issue is would verizon take on some of AT&T's load and the simple answer is no, unless AT&T customers suddenly canceled their contracts with AT&T and went over to Verizon.

Given that all new iPhone 4 owners are now under the 325 ETF, its highly unlikely that will occur. More likely that apple would have more customers, i.e., new ones on verizon rather then just "switchers"

I would. I'd sell my iPhone 4 to cover the ETF. DONE.

In other news, VZN (VZW or whatever the feck it is) won't be getting iPhone this decade.

It amazes me how many of you actually think that major corporations care about what their respective marketing departments had done in the past when considering major deals such as this.

iPhone on sprint (and with 4g) would be DROOL.

I can picture the marketing ads now. "world's best selling phone on the world's fastest network".

Sign me up. Sprint absolutely rules.

Really? Because sometimes CEO's do get the last laugh and if Apple did take the iPhone to sprint that would hurt Verizon because they would end having customers jump ship to go to sprint.

Do you own stock in verizon or something? Because ever since the RUMOR and as much as you would like it to be the truth it's still a rumor

But since that bloomberg analyst you seem to get real defensive whenever someone suggest that the iPhone could not be going to Verizon.

Don't take it so personal bro. Unless you have the oracle of delphi there with you then your just speculating just like me. End of story :D

Sure, but most CEOs don't get to that status by making stupid business decisions based on something like a commercial. And those that do don't keep their posts for long.

You need to look at more of my past posts. I've been in all of these Verizon threads for much longer than that. I am the first to admit that they are rumor. I am not listing my iPhone on CL getting ready for a Verizon launch. I'll believe it when it's actually announced at this point.

The reason I am so involved in these threads is inevitably they are filled with crap posts from people who have no idea what they are talking about. Especially when it comes down to CMDA vs GSM (since I used to be a national trainer in the wireless industry working with both). Call it a hobby based on old jobs.

Oh, and I've used all 3 of the top carriers. Verizon was my best experience of the 3. I had fewer dropped calls on both Verizon and Sprint. AT&T has gotten better, but Verizon get's better service in my Church and office. I'd like to have that service on my iPhone.

Like you said, it's ALL speculation. I can't stand statements of fact...when people don't know. You know, the "Verizon will NEVER get the iPhone" statements? BS, nobody on this board can make that statement with certainty.
