I know I'm not speaking for everyone, but who on earth actually uses iMessage anymore? I've used it a lot in the beginning, but these days everyone uses other messaging solutions such as WhatsApp or Telegram. I think this 'stickers' thing (including its own App Store) is a bit overreactive for something that - at least that's what I think - is not being widely used... :p

I don't have a single other messaging app on my phone other than Facebook. I feel like I can never leave the iPhone solely because of iMessage. I see you're in The Netherlands, though. Those apps are much more common in Europe, but iMessage is extremely popular in the United States.

Wouldn't it have been sufficient to just host this stuff on the regular App Store? Isn't creating its own store a little overkill for some iMessage decorations and a few apps? Don't get me wrong, I think the features are neat, but its own store seems a little odd.
Regular App Store is sluggish enough already thanks.

I still wish I can just turn all this nonsense off, especially when I am on the receiving end of any of these effects. Most of the pending updates on my phone include stickers or iMessage extensions. I wonder how much space this is going to cost me.

I wonder whether this Messages "mini" store is a trial by Apple to see if it will finally be feasible to break the apps, music and video sections of the all-encompassing iTunes Store into their own individual stores. Sure hope so.

I use iMessage as I can use it on my phone, watch, media player, tablet and desktop.
But yet you can't use it in a web browser on a machine that isn't yours (work let's say) like Messenger (Facebook) can. Wish Apple would add this but seeing as how slow they are usually with software, it'll take forever to be added.

iMessage is one of the major draws of iOS to me. The enhancements in iOS 10 will make it even better.

I use it a TON. Especially on my iMac.

I use iMessage exclusively.
I refuse to install WhatsApp or Telegram or any 3rd party on my iPhone. Those people are green to me.

No new Macs, but I can finally buy add-ons for my messages...

And they say Apple isn't doomed.

Yes, because the effort put into a sticker is comparable to that of completely new hardware. And they're ALL run by the same team - instead of focusing on new products, they have those same people making stickers and emoji since the Apple team is so small. Good management Tim!

Posts like this are ridiculous lol.

I believe it's the single most used app on iOS, according to Apple.

It's just gotten ridiculous with the amount of 3rd party messaging apps in circulation now. It's nice that the built-in app is quite well done and continues to improve. I think there is a disparity between different locales though.

iMessage App Store seemed like a really odd idea, but I'm seeing a ton more variety and value than I was imagining.

Anyone know any useful apps there? Not really interested in stickers. But anything cool is nice.

I have a question for someone who knows, if I download a sticker pack, will the other person see it if I send it but they don't have the same sticker pack? I'm assuming and hoping that they would.

My son and I will probably play iMessages chess. It'll be like the old chess-by-mail games, but a lot faster.

The original demo from WWDC showed groups coordinating and placing a single group food order, though I don't remember what app they used.

I've noticed a few apps that say they're supported in Messages but actually haven't updated. Here's to hoping that means Cash is about to.
