A great metal band, but isn't Metallica intense enough without immersion technology? I'd need psychotherapy to keep from jumping out a window!

You guys are being so weird. You don't have to be a Metallica fan to enjoy this content, im not even a rock fan and im excited, because I know it will be great content for the avp. Maybe immersion doesn't excite you, maybe you can't justify the money to buy a avp. Doesn't mean you have to come through hating on everything avp related. There is literally no better headset device out there and apple has been killing it lately with visuals on Apple TV, if you guys want to show up to the party feel free but if you can't see how this is building up, idk what to tell you.

Most of Alisha Keys hits were over 20 years ago. Strange complaint here. There's all kinds of AVP content that really isn't my thing, but I enjoy most of it because of it's immersive experience. I want to experience it all. :)

Metalica__ 😑.
is virtual reality or whatever it’s called there yet?
Apple Vision Pro seems to be a gimmick.

Vr concerts? 😂 can’t afford a ticket for the real thing, but you can buy a vision?
Anyhow good for Metallica fans.

Hmmm? There's plenty of productivity apps for Vision Pro...

And more are coming as momentum builds. Not a gimmick.

On Friday, March 14, Apple plans to release a new Apple Immersive Video featuring Metallica, with Apple retail stores offering a preview for customers who do not have a Vision Pro headset.

apple-immersive-video-metallica.jpg

The Metallica concert experience was filmed in Mexico City during the second-year finale of the band's M72 World Tour. It includes full performances of three songs, including "Whiplash," "One," and "Enter Sandman."

The concert was captured using Apple Immersive Video, and it provides a high-resolution 180-degree video along with Spatial Audio. Apple built a custom stage layout with 14 Apple Immersive Video cameras using a mix os stabilized cameras, cable-suspended cameras, and remote-controlled camera dolly systems that moved around the stage.

Apple says that the experience provides "unprecedented access" to Metallica members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo, with views as close as the Snake Pit.

The video launches on Friday, and Apple Vision Pro demos at retail stores will provide a preview. Metallica's new EP, M72 World Tour: Mexico City is also launching on Apple Music on Friday.

Remember the days when Apple users would complain endlessly about Apple's choices in music promotion being to rooted in Hip Hop and Pop music? Now Apple teams up with Metallica and what do Apple users do? Complain.

well said. The majority of everyone making comments does not have an AVP. I have used an AVP for almost a year and still love it I have found use cases for it ( work and entertainment ) I do not listen to all the hatters, stay positive.

for someone uninformed, why would you comment on this subject? do you have an AVP? Have you used it for over 6 months? if so then your comment would have merit, if not then why so negative on a subject you know nothing about?

Thank Apple for killing Napster. Such sharing networks were cancers on the internet.
Sadly Apple didn't really kill them per say but rather made them (imo) less attractive to use. While not as proliferative as they once were such "services" have morphed into various p2p networks. The old push-down-pop-up drug dealer theory at work....

I saw them in high school in the late 90s, during their Load tour, then again a couple years ago. They are not as good as they used to be.
I’ve seen every tour since ‘87, many times each. The late 90’s was easily the worst they’ve ever been, and didn’t really improve until around 2006…not sure how you’d an even make this comparison to the current tour. Their sound is far better than it was back then, if nothing else.

Love Apple and Metallica! great combination!
Greetings from Buenos Aires!
I’m with you, love both although I’m not a diehard Metallica fan. I’ve seen them once and it was a great show. I can’t wait to see, going to be awesome.

They were cool, twenty years ago.
Nothing like watching 60yr olds rock out decades past their prime ha
Are there any hard rock bands formed in the 21st century that have wide name recognition? Or even more broadly any band that is considered to be rock? There are some groups a decade or two newer than Metallica, but I don't know any from the past 20 years (though there are individual songs I know from the past 20 years).

Wow a 8 minute long „concert“ of a band who’s fans are mostly dead by now (joke).

Remind me again when there are full concerts or 2 hour long movies available and the price of AVP is cut in half haha
