Odd MJ fact of the day- the coroner still has part of his brain for further examination.

I also got 8 to 1 that that casket at the memorial was empty.

Yep, he was way ahead. Check out some posts from a studio engineer who actually worked with him -

His name is 'robmix'. I've read a lot of other interviews with keyboardists who worked with him and other musicians/producers/engineers - the common factor is that he was talented beyond one's wildest dreams and was extremely humble and a nice person. Will be missed :(

Oh, and he never cussed. All you have to do is check out the artists dominating the top charts today - all you hear is *bleep* ..
Cool. Thanks for the link.

One thing that struck a cord with me, was the comment about them discussing various ways to walk to the studio and MJ saying that he wished that he could do that. Fame has it's price. It's no wonder that MJ wanted a private area that he could relax and enjoy himself without the pressures of fame.

Personally, I am glad to hear positive stories about MJ. Though his music and dancing, he will be remembered for a long time. :)

That's great. It was a nice read.

People made him seem like a monster, but as we found out, it wasn't true. It was about money, and parents forcing their kids to lie to try and get money.

The guy liked kids. That's it. It shouldn't mean anything. People are just getting more and more paranoid. It's like that rule they had at a school in the US, where parents are not allowed to photograph kids, even if it's their own. What if you get photos of other people's kids in the shot? People tore a man apart for over a decade because of lies, and their own paranoia. Just great.

Unfortunately, because of kindness people took advantage of him. Really sad.

So true, really, really sad, he was an artist that is surely in the top 10 in any art of the century and he was a very abused kid too, an a delicate soul.

As we well know most people are pieces of crap, and most people will become even meaner and show even more malice to people of talent and merit, because they make them feel what they really are: small and insignificant ants.

I wouldn't blame Michael for prefering kids than ruthless manipulative sub humans that surrounded him for a slice of his fame.

Sad but true.

rip mickey.

Did anyone see Bill O'Reilly yesterday talk about Michael Jackson?
I didn't think i could hate bill anymore but now my head just wants to explode

Kinda sounds like what Joe Jackson did.

Michael Jackson was a great performer, he turned into a washed up over the hill pop star that just needed money.

Yeah, most of the people in this country need money as well because we all are so cash-strapped.

I think everyone here knows you don't like the guy. Why do you bring down someone who is so iconic and legendary to a 'over the hill pop star'? I guess you would use that line for everyone right? I mean look at Tesla - one of the greatest inventors - he died penniless. He needed money too, no? Or was he a over the hill worthless person too? Same with Picasso?

Same with most greats - they all had their peak time, they all contributed immensely to music or art or whatever - does that mean we throw away any sort of recognition and deem them to be useless?

We certainly don't need your acridic contribution here.

I'll admit that I'm not a huge Michael Jackson fan. I'm probably not old enough to really appreciate his peak, since I don't remember it, but I can see the genius in him from videos. :) However, from my point of view, it's obvious that this is a man who lost all confidence and love in a world who didn't trust him, or want him anymore despite the good he tried to do.

He was horded by media and fans moreso than any other famous person in my lifetime. I really believe that. There are some exceptionally famous people in this world, and then there's Michael Jackson. Yes, he lost his privacy, which is OK and expected, but it's only gravy until the media is suddenly paid to tell people what a monster you are. So he suffered from depression, and received the absolute worst treatment from people. It's not so unbelievable that a naturally private person became even more private after being accused of something like that.

I really don't see him as a washed-up pop star. He was 50. He was still a good live performer back as recently as 2002 or so.

He didn't really perform live in the latter half of this decade, but what do you do everyone hates you? People feel sorry for stars like Britney or Lindsay Lohan, but they can still go to clubs, drink, and dance. Madonna can still go out and get a cup of coffee if she wants, or walk her dog or something.

Most people are willing to forgive adulterers, drug addicts, alcoholics, drink drivers, etc. Nobody is willing to forgive a guy wrongly accused of child molestation. Nobody.

MJ was well past the stage of being able to reconcile with the public, and it's because of lies. MJ obviously had his loyal fans, but most of the public loved to hate him --- that is, until he died. Then he's a frickin' genius again.

Lest MacNut comes barging in again.. only 'washed up' pop stars are able to sell out 50 shows within a few hours and break all ticketing records, right? :)

He didn't really perform live in the latter half of this decade, but what do you do when you can't go anywhere without people hating you?

Why do we do that? I've noticed a rising trend in general hatred towards anyone famous - and I mean even someone relatively less famous than the usual.

I've seen nothing but spiteful comments - for instance against Miley Cyrus - I'm not a fan at all, nor do I listen to her music - but geez, she's a kid and people comment things like 'I hope she dies!!! sl*tzor!!!' , etc.

The minute someone rises to a miniscule degree of fame, there are hundreds of haters born instantly.

What a society we've become.

to quote peter griffin "He can kiss the fattest part of my A$$" yeah i can no longer stand fixed news even though i no longer stood them before they have become an utter discrase

Not to be snide but half the things he said was true and he did make half a point.

I would love to scream at Bill since he does bother me. He was an ass in his delivery in his statement and his opinion was harsh and false in some points but the media's embrace of him is what the man deserved ignoring past allegations but those allegations did happen and the same media DID jump on him during and after the trial.

Yeah, always hate when the MEDIA describes the MEDIA and excludes themselved like they hold themselves to a higher standard.

I still can't believe he is gone. Yes, a lot has been said about him, he was ridiculed, he changed soo much over the last 2 decades, but you cannot say he wasn't a super talented musical genius and a tortured soul.

NO ONE can even begin to image what his life was like, what he went through. I bet 90% of the "fans" in the Staples Center talked trash on him. It is sad that in death, we can see the genius and the good in people. I guess this is human nature. That is what is wrong with this world.

All his music had a positive message. You could tell he was immensely passionate about his work and his art. Yes, while his behaviour in the past was questionable, at best, we have no idea what he went through. I cannot imagine being famous and followed everywhere, having groupies, being able to get any drug/etc you want at the age of 10. We can sit here and judge, but we have nothing to compare our stories to.

What we take for granted, he just wanted. Yes, i understand you pay a price for being super wealthy and super star status. Can you image being soo famous, that you can't do simple, dumb things (burden to us common folk) like taking a Mac to a genius to fix, or shopping for groceries or clothes, or even car shopping.

I remember seeing him at the Coliseum in LA when "Bad" came out. I was 8 years old, and it was amazing. I still remember it to this day. I grew up listening to Thriller, Bad, Off the Wall on vinyl, since CD players were soo expensive and primitive back then. This is just a sad time.

I honestly do not think we will see this type of thing in our lifetimes! Who else has such an impact on society, not just musically.... I think Princess Diana was the other such thing that i have witnessed in my life. JFK Jr. got crazy, but nothing like this. Stevie Wonder won't even get nearly as close to this craze. Can you imagine.. just the impact he had..

And Bill O'reilly is just a joke. Its' too bad people give half a flying eff about anything he says. I will piss on his unmarked grave, seriously. But i am sure he will be like Tom Hanks in the "Green Mile". He will live to be 135. He is more embarrassing than baseball players using steriods so they can swing a bat faster, or run a 90 foot dash .0003 seconds quicker..

To me, this would be the worst part of fame. You loose your freedom to do normal things.
