Don't think that the bean counters at Amazon MP3 and iTunes Store aren't wishing they'd jacked up the prices on MJ's stuff a month or two ago. :p

Michael was a troubled soul indeed, but quite brilliant and very talented. I loved his music and videos despite his many problems.

So, mr expert, tell me exactly which records AFTER Thriller had that influence? I can assure you, you cannot.

And let me tell you about a show tour in London. There was an artist from MJ's generation whose 21 nights sold out instantly as well some 2 years as well.

And those concerts were given within 2.5 months. MJ booked nearly a year for twice as many records. And this other artist gave at least 10 after parties, where he jammed with the likes of Elton John and Amy Winehouse. Mind you, after he played for over 2 hours straight. And that other artist gave more concerts since 2000 than MJ would have given since 1997, including those 50 concerts.

There is a immensely more talented musical genius out there. And he's still alive. Enjoy a real musical talent instead of a marketed freakshow.

Who cares if he didn't have much after the Thriller album? All his previous albums were major hits and he left his mark. Just because he didn't continue until his death doesn't mean he wasn't a legend.

He defined pop music, which is more than I can say for you. As I sit here listening to you criticize a legend, it makes me sick.

What are you? 18 years old? I don't think you know what you're talking about. When MJ announced that he'd be doing a concert in London, there were 1000s of media agencies there to record it, phone lines were jammed, and tickets were sold within a few hours.

Your attitude just proves what kind of effect the media has on an everyday idiot.

I'd give him respect if he lived up to the title by gifting us with excellent music after Thriller, rather than becoming a has-been who had nothing left to give the world than walking backwards and scratching his balls whilst not touring for the last 12 years. Or even releasing some decent new songs.

So, in the same respect, you're basically saying that since the Beatles didn't continue making good music until their death, then they're ****? Your logic is completely flawed!

Why don't you just admit that you hate him and that all your opinions are bias? Just because you're a weak minded individual that's totally controlled by the media doesn't mean everyone else is.

I was thinking of buying two of his music videos. I didn't like his music much except for those two songs. I always turned the channel when he came on the radio.

he deserved the respect he is getting now, it's just sad that all the abuse claims had to come up over the last several years. Nobody but one person will ever know if they were true and he is gone now.

He'll be just as popular as Elvis.

I'll remember Michael Jackson for not how many albums he sold, but rather for the actions he did.

1. Settling for multi-millions out of court in a child molestation case in order for the family to drop charges, AKA buying his way out of prison.
2. Admitting to enjoying little boys in his bed (messed up, whether sexual or not.)
3. Holding his own son over a balcony upside down to paparazzi.

And I'll remember you as one of those lemmings, not for the unique individual they are, but for their lemming type actions.

1. Listing to the BS the media fed to them and acceping it 100%
2. Not having a mind of their own.
3. Ignoring the fact that he defined pop music and only looking at the negative aspects that the media dictated.
4. Being a general brainless lemming :)

Been Playing MJ's records all night
The guy was a bloody genius (and his crew over the years of course) and his music will live on forever
He was a good inspiration on my own productions and that he died on my birthday makes it even that more sad

May the king of pop rest in peace

Are you kidding me? He has been a big influance in the music industry till the day he passed away. Most people like yourself wouldn't understand that because all people were concerned with was how he looked and all the bs scandals and I blame the media for that. And since he was about to start 50 show tour in London which all shows sold out instantly still says a lot. Again another person without a clue to what he did for pop music and the industry altogther.

He had several, again if you know anything then just check out itunes and you will see a lot of his albulms after thriller on their. He produced and helped so many artists today but again people like you are more concerned about his personel life or Brittany spears, linndsey lohan to know that. Again it's the medias fault and people like u for that. Pop artists and people in the industry all know what he has done and continued to do till the day he died except for people like you. He did a lot for charities, his fans that stuck through all the bs, and all the artists he influanced. Again he put out other great albums after Thriller and iTunes proves that. Look at the song Man in the Mirror. Nuff said. You r clueless and only think what u read and you r entitled to ur opinion, except it makes you look like you know nothing about him or his career.

He now holds #1-9 on the iTMS.

Is it me or is iTMS really slow... wonder if it's MJ crashing the servers.

The truth will eventually come out regarding this - all they wanted was money in the first place. If it were my mother and the allegations were true, she'd fight all the way to imprison anyone who would have harmed me, regardless of dollars being held to her nose. How much would your sons' molestation be worth to shut up about?

2. Admitting to enjoying little boys in his bed (messed up, whether sexual or not.)

Ever have sleepovers when you were a kid? Did you hang out with your buds in forts built in canyons? Did you play "Star Trek" and wear capes and role play? Go on bike rides daring to go beyond the few blocks that you were supposed to stay in? I cannot imagine not having a normal, playful childhood, bruises and all. Am I justifying his (what is certainly to us) bizarre behavior? No...but I AM trying to understand it, and it a way, I can. As to his sexuality, from what I have observed he was likely asexual.

3. Holding his own son over a balcony upside down to paparazzi.

His son was right-side up. However, not a clever thing in anyones' book.

Shows you that people will turn a blind eye to a child molester and buy his music; I guess there is no accounting for taste.

I'm happy that he will not see the money this is making.

a) He was acquitted.
b) Doesn't make him a worse singer.
c) The surgeries mean he wasn't fully mentally stable; there is a high probability that whatever he did or didn't do was because he went crazy; not because he's a pedophile.

Don't worry. I'm not 18 years old. I hold three M.Sc and a Ph.D. It's your reaction that's worrying, not mine. Feeling sick because someone throws facts in your face that you can't refute. Rather, you try to downplay the messenger. Ppl like you deserve MJ music.

So, in the same respect, you're basically saying that since the Beatles didn't continue making good music until their death, then they're ****? Your logic is completely flawed!

The Beatles quit in the early seventies and the earliest one to die lived at least another 10 years. And JL did more in the seventies than MJ did after Thriller. Here, your comparison is flawed.

If MJ called it a night after Thriller, I'd be happy. Instead, he continued to make a fool out of himself for another 20 years and it's pethatic whiners like you who hold the media responsible, when in fact it's all down to MJ starting a freakshow from 1985-1996 onwards instead of giving us music he was allegedly capable of.

Perhaps his talents are overrated by a long shot.

Wow, you make it sound SO easy to continue making chart topping music year after year. Why don't you pick up a keyboard (synth) and try to make anything that can make it in the top 100?

He had a huge, HUGE influence on all musicians. His production skills were unmatched - but you wouldn't know anything about that because you're not a musician. MY inspiration was MJ when I first heard his album, I couldn't believe the sounds, the techniques, the whole smack*in*my*face wall of music. The fact that it could make me, my grandma, kids on the street instantly jump and groove was phenomenal.

The fact that every person on the planet knows his music should say something.

I really don't understand why people like you come along just to stir up emotions or anger. What's your problem if millions of us like his music? Why hide behind your computer screen and lash out crap - would love to see you talk in real in front of a few fans.

a) He was acquitted: Of the charges in 2003-2005 yes, however he paid his other putative victim 20 million + to ‘go away’; hardly the actions of an innocent man

b) Hitler had some pretty good looking architectural sketches, but you don’t see me hanging lithographs of them on my wall.

c) Excuses excuses excuses… the surgeries made him do it. Is this a new Twinkie Defense?
