O.K. It is not about not having a open mind.. It called it only works with Windows and most people here are MAC USERS, NOT WINDOW USERS.. So there no point to like some thing that does not work with your OS.. I bet people where the same way when iPod only work on Mac and now love it because you can now use it on Windows.. Again I see no point for some thing that does not add any thing new and only works on Windows..

First it needs to catch on in the Windows environment.
I've got a hunch that by the time MS gets this to market, it will be a competitor to where Apple iTouch WAS.
Well actually.. Before I switched it killed my nerves and free time on a daily basis.
I also don't like all this fanboy hate, BUT many people hare are talking from experience because they have used both Windows and Apple OS's. Many MS fanboys do not even know what they are talking about when they start bashing...
I've already used the software in Windows. It's pretty good like I pointed out before.
How is Apple iPod/iPhones a monopoly? If their products begin to fail and lose billions, do you think Apple will continue with these products? NO. Microsoft on the other hand will. Just look at the products they have pushed and pushed and lost millions and millions on.
Mac users would have to get Parallels or something to run the software if they bought one. Lame.

Lols! That has nothing/little to do with what a monopoly is. Apple has a monopoly on the MP3 market. Microsoft has a monopoly on the home computer (and especially the work environment) market.
I would not buy one of these over an iPhone or Ipod Touch, but it does have two features that look really cool. The ability to play HD movies. This in itself wouldn't be special if we were only able to watch them on the Zune screen. However notice that MS have given this new Zune an HD video out connection!
This means that you could put HD movies onto it and hook it up to any HD TV or projector you happen to be near.
This would be absolutely brilliant for me because it would mean that I could easily make HD video for clients and show them progress on their plasmas etc instead of having to take over an SD DVD or make them watch highly compressed web versions.
A proper HDMI out, even if it needs an adaptor, and the ability to play true 1080p HD movies would be really handy for me on the iPod Touch etc.

It is an interesting design decision. OLED for small portables seems to be just on the edge of being safe to use. By next year lots of small portables will have OLED screens. This year not so many. There is a cost issue, and we don't know how much discount Apple can get for their volumes. There is a supply issue. Perhaps MS or Nokia can get a hundred thousand or so screens every couple of months but Apple can't get the one or two million a month they need for the iPhone/iPod Touch. We don't know the reliability. The iPod Touch/iPhone are main products for Apple. They have to work well. It may be a tad too risky at this time. We'll know in two weeks.
Again, how does Apple have a monopoly on the MP3 market when both devices works natively on Mac and Windows? Stop being naive, and understand the difference between a Windows and iPods.
Apple has a huge market share % in the MP3 market. They are the dominating force. They could be called a "monopoly" but I doubt anything is going to be done about it.
The good / bad thing depending on which side of the fence you're on is that the new Zune is going to work with the 360 and supposedly replace XBL. As an avid XBL'er and Apple user that could be the one thing that make me actually want to get a Zune.

Thats the problem, rather than face the facts you roll your eyes and blissfully move along. If you don't understand the Windows monopoly and how it intertwines with MS products, then its a hopeless cause. Continue to roll your eyes then.
Then why is this even on this site of it doesn't work on macs. Why is there even hatred at all on this product. Too many people are just bitter and cynical about anything Microsoft or anything that would compete with apple in any way. It's just ridiculous.
I like the design. I think the screws add some 'industrial design' feel to it. However, one of the biggest selling points of iPod Touch is probably AppStore and the fact that it isn't just a music and video player anymore. Microsoft will have hard time competing against AppStore, even if there's nothing wrong with hardware.

it is horrible that it will crash often, and have the lamest interface ever. Apple products are so finely polished and so integrated with their other systems that it is not tough to beat, but unbeatable. On top of that all other companies play catch up. You will never get ahead if you always strive to be behind.
