Hey.. I'm a Mac fan as much as the next but I will go ahead and say what everybody else is fighting to not say.

I'm impressed. Windows 10, Micorosoft HoloLens. That Hololens is the first step to Tony Stark/Iron Man level stuff. For christ's sake they had NASA partnering with them on this. Give credit where credit is due. To me this HoloLens is the first REAL wearable.

This WILL become the next chapter in computing.

No matter how much us mac fans deny it at this point in time just because Apple doesn't have a rival product yet.

And Windows 10 is finally looking like what should have been windows 8.

Microsoft has got my attention.

Interested to see how Apple is working on VR/AR because we know from some patent applications that they ARE (presumably of course) working on it.

Always funny to read the haters comments ... Jesus :)

Actually this new products are pretty amazing. Would love to see Apple again being in front and again making something groundbreaking like the iPhone or iPad.

MacBooks - I have 3, but the displays are to tiny. Bring back a 17"

The Apple Watch? 2 years to late... But I will buy it to try it.

My biggest concern about Apple at the moment is quality. I've had so many issues with my 2 latest iMacs and iPads and iPhones. The 27" iMac already has "burns" and the 21" iMac is already getting darker in the display. And they are 6 month old. My iPhone 6 Plus (the second one I have) have already pixel fails. Good I live in Denmark and get a 2 year warranty :)

If Apple had released that headset the whole audience and internet would be going nuts, because it's Microsoft: "meh".

WOW...! Those are some serious quality issues! Apple has been dropping the ball lately. Not that much of a perfectionist anymore which is a shame. Good thing I stopped being an early adopter.

No they'd just add this to the list of things Steve Jobs wouldn't have done and complain about how Tim Cook is ruining Apple.

Believe me I regret some of my buyings. Not funny paying so much, then to realize all the trouble. But I love the OS :-/

Considering that there are very few panel makers in the world and these things were OK when you got them, not sure what Apple could do better, maybe kick their supplier's ass?

Almost all panels come from a few supplier and they're not selecting the bottom feeders either.

Yes, 17" please.

Apple need to take the next step now and get us to have the AX72 chip implanted in our brains.
It does everything when we think and blink (Blink differently campaign ) and comes with a 3 year removal guarantee.

I'm guessing AppleInTheMud has spent well over €4000 euros in his purchases.
2 iMacs and 1 iPhone 6 Plus, not exactly cheap.

For that kind of cash you don't expect issues. And for that kind of cash there shouldn't be any issues. The justification for the high price is that it "just works" right? Apple always states they just want to make the "best products".

What Apple could've done better is quality control.

A lot of the people complaining about these products probably don't realize they aren't in the target market. I have had the pleasure of using the surface hub display at MIT and I was impressed. These are intended for education and corporate environments, not your living room.

With attempt after attempt after attempt to get customers to use 3D at the movies or on their computer or TV, what makes them think that holographic images might have a chance in hell of succeeding? The people have voted over and over, but they hear not.

Bummer that Google had to ruin Microsoft's day by leaking they're going to become an MVNO.

Meanwhile in Cupertino, where Apple's sitting on more money than most countries have, they've...

...determined after years of making 11" notebooks and 13" notebooks, that really, they should make 12" notebooks.

Awwwesooome.

Here's the problem, MS is notorious to back away from these sort of prototypes. Remember Origami, Courier, Pixelsense, Illumiroom. These were all presented like if consumers would have access to them, yet that never happened.

As much as the concept of HoloLens excites me, I'm very skeptical in regards to their execution on the concept. So far, they've shown 3d rendered post-production demos, but until someone physically tries and reviews it, we won't know if MS is serious about the project.

Having said that, I'm really curious as to how they would control the UI elements so that if feels organic, specially since they're showing many of the virtual elements interacting with elements in the real world.

If Apple had released that headset the whole audience and internet would be going nuts, because it's Microsoft: "meh".

This is just a conceptual demo at the moment. I'll turn my 'Meh' to 'Awesome' once they put a release date, otherwise, it's just as real as the Courier was.

I enjoy using google services,

but having google ALSO my carrier? geeze, thats even frightening for me.

Considering how terrible every android device I've had is with regards to reception maybe Google has no choice but create there own network.

Back on topic:

Maybe all the apple fans will get a treat from Microsoft in the form or a real thin version of their Holo Lens that show pages of icons and has a physical button to close apps. We can dream!

if this site did nothing but Apple related news, you'd have one post a week, maybe even less in-between cycles.

I rather enjoy that they do more industry related news. Believe it or not, what Microsoft is doing does have impact on Apple. Pretending that Apple exists in it's own bubble is disingenuous

Agreed. It's important to keep tabs on what other technology companies are doing because it lets us know what Apple's competing with and the directions that Apple could go in the future. Big phones got hot, and guess what? Apple made a big phone. If augmented reality really takes off, it's not a stretch to imagine that Apple's going to get into an important emerging market.

If all your devices are gettingb bad reception, its possibly your network providers in the area.

I've had several devices, blackberries, and Androids and in a region of Spotty LTE but great HSPA+ and get fantastic reception.

I'd give your carrier a call instead of blaming android and it's manufacturers (unless you're consitently buying used, old, or low end hardware)

Should be.
This is the future Apple is up against, and it's combating with a watch and "thinner".
Unless the 5 year plans have this already beat, Cook and Ive better be startled.

I don't want every XBox 'new game released' article either. It's of no relevance to Apple, even though Apple's iOS devices technically play games too.
