Who knows? Maybe the new MBP models coming out next month or November will have ProMotion mini-LED displays. The 12.9" iPad Pro has it. Can't see why the new MBP models won't.120hz screen wish macs had that

I wouldn't go that far but it's great to see Apple have some serious competition now.Apple should be ashamed of themselves.
For many reasons, you should never eat or drink near a computer anyway. If you get a Surface Studio laptop, just don't even remotely spill anything onto the work surface or allow a drink to condensate in its glass next to it - why? Because it'll go right into the vents at the bottom. I don't know this was a good design decision?

It's a Microsoft product meaning it will only be good from the third version. Wait for next year and decide between a 14 Pro Max and the Surface Duo 3 instead.I am not sure why, but I have always been interested in the Surface Duo. Should I get the Surface Duo 2 and return my 13 Pro Max?
welcome to last year? this is microsoft's gen2 device.WOW!! Microsoft is making phones again cool!
Another company beat APPLE to a foldable phone.
Microsoft cant innovate MY ASS.
the radiator is actually an Intel processor LOLIt looks like a MacBook Pro stacked on top of a radiator, attached to a Surface Pro lol
Or call it Surface Powerhouse.I love my Surface Pro and Surface Laptops at work, by my oh my, the Surface Studio looks awful with that bucket on the bottom.
I suppose if they made it the same size of the top part we'd have to call it the Surface Chunky Boi.
This is not aimed the consumer market. It's aimed at the enterprise and creative professional market. This is a tool, not a toy.another attempt to "revive" the PC form factor ... it's dead, the form factor that is, has been for years, other than adding new processors, RAM etc nothing has changed for decades. Of course there is still use for the PC in the corp world but for consumers, those have moved on to smartphones and tablets ...
Surface was and will remain a niche product, nothing else ...
Sounds like a personal problem to me.another attempt to "revive" the PC form factor ... it's dead, the form factor that is, has been for years, other than adding new processors, RAM etc nothing has changed for decades. It will be interesting to see if THESE versions of Microsoft hardware actually hold up the promise they’ve yet to meet in competing against the various Apple products they’re going after. Every version before these have suffered from some issue or issues that effectively kill their sales.I wouldn't go that far but it's great to see Apple have some serious competition now.
I think the general design direction of this device is great. Especially if you're in the market for a Pro laptop with stylus support.I keep wishing for Microsoft to come out with a killer product that combines great performance with a great sense of design in a sturdy portable form factor, and then I realize that what I really want is the next generation of Apple devices. The M1 chip and mini-LED display technology has upped the game. Now, everyone else is struggling to catch up. With that being said, I still really do wish for Microsoft to knock one out of the ballpark because innovation is what drives everyone in the industry to push the envelope even further, making us as consumers the ultimate winners. For those of us who started out with 5 1/4" MS-DOS installation disks, there's also a certain sentimentality in wanting Redmond to one-up Cupertino.
Ps. These forums are always amazing to read. Most folks really do engage and add in some amazing insight, information, and opinion to keep this old brain fully engaged. Thanks, y'all!
