I like the concept. Let's see how it translate into the real world, if at all.

And why are Microsoft using this wallpaper? It's so close to the wallpaper Apple included with and used heavily in the marketing of iOS 9: http://i.imgur.com/swl1WmC.png
MS didn't create this render. ;)

The person who did was probably basing it off the original Surface Studio wallpaper.

Sounds cool, but I am not early adopting that type of product. I will stick with an iPhone for the foreseeable future. I'll let early adopters beta test products and pay heaps of $. Once the products become more mainstream and affordable? Then I may consider it.

I think it looks cool, if announced this year I will definitely watch the keynote to see the announcement. It really seems Microsoft has stepped up their game, and yes I’m saying this as an Apple fan! :)
And I am telling you that I heard that hope so many times.. ok win10 is okayish but I’d place a bet that that thing ends at “it looks cool”.

It’s ok, most of us are mainstream people only very few dare to think and try different.

Microsoft Courier 2.0.

Why not announce when ready? It's the equivalent of Apple announcing their car, now. The tech press need to up their game. Oh yeah, forgot, the tech press cares little beyond clicks and ad impressions. A point against MR for not mentioning Courier.

Dude, this is a rendering image, is not Microsoft. MSFT has never talked about Andromeda or pocketable Surface.

Why would you want a dumb OS on a pro device? I can't even do something as basic as putting an active SSH session in the background on my iPad without it dying.
What app are you using? I’m able to hold a connection using Terminus.

Even tho I’m an Apple fan and have many Apple devices I do have to give credit to Microsoft for trying different things, this looks good to me and I think if it’s announced this year (2018) the they will be the first ones to have done it.

Microsoft are starting to intrigue me more and more even to the point where I’m considering getting a Surface Pro or Surface Book 2 to try out which is something I never would it thought about doing a year or even 6 months ago

Personally, I wouldn't go that far. It definitely looks cool, but I see devices like this as more of a gimmick right now. Too big to be a phone, potentially compromised on the tablet end (software/battery life/performance). Now if someone came out and had really perfected the hardware and software (not happening first try), I'd definitely take a look, but I have been really happy with iOS only for over a year now that I don't have much want/need to change. I just don't see the value in a Surface as their are plenty of cheaper options that perform generally the same as a laptop, while tablet mode is a bit of a joke.

I am open to see what happens here though and it's definitely a cool concept, but I need to see it all working in action before making any real decisions. I think we are years away from this being feasible.

When it's in a tent mode i.e. with screens on either side of the tent 'outside', what would you use that for?

This is a serious question!

I'd be interested if it were running iOS and had a better design. I am sure Apple will release something when the hardware and software is ready for such a device.

Yea for emojis and selfies you are spot on, then there's other people who have to run high end production companies to buy their kids these wearables.
Condescending remarks don’t sound smart. Since you’re so grown up or whatever (don’t know what Age has to do with anything old timer) what things will improve people’s use of computers besides faster RAM, more dense CPU’s, and faster storage? Also, name one smart device that uses emojis. Name a wearable that toutes emojis?

I think the point is that iOS runs millions of apps. What is this thing going to run? If I'm already invested in MacOS and iOS, why would I care about Windows or Android apps?
