This is bad, even for Microsoft. Clearly time for Ballmer to go.

Complete overhaul of Windows 8 this fall. WIN8 phone a fail due to inept MS marketing (actually a decent phone IMO.) Now lying outright with WIN8 Tablets.

Time for the Crisis Team. Too bad. I was hoping MS and APPL could work together to fight Gaggle and Samdung.

Oh well. APPL Legal will be on this by Sat. :apple:

On what?

What about not showing the bulge in the back? Don't you think that they are trying to give the impression that the entire pc is actually as thin as the edge of the monitor?

Yes and I see your point. The difference is that they weren't comparing their product to a competitor's while misrepresenting each in their favor.

man, so glad apple is never deceptive about their products, like how they love to show off the bulge on the new imac and the time it actually takes siri to work properly

Really? Game over. For Microsoft?

That's rich. Do you have any idea how many PCs (even if sales are declining) exist and will continue to exist/be supported for years and year?

I know companies that have 20-30 year old servers that run Microsoft software still.

And software like SharePoint is doing very well. Among other enterprise offerings.

Sorry to burst your bubble - but it's definitely not game over for Microsoft. But keep living that dream!

And don't forget that iCloud runs on Microsoft Azure. Windows Azure I believe it is.

I was going to reply to all of your thoughts. But then you used slang for company names and realized my time wasn't worth it.

I just love all the Microsoft supporters sitting to their computer defending the company for their "mistakes"... (cough cough, purposely lying) as if they owe it to MS to apologize for them to the world. ;)

So you admit that in the past, Apple has also been deceptive and careless for their errors, right?

Apple isn't stupid either.

I never said they weren't.. but we're talking about a Microsoft ad. Welcome to the thread.

I guess we can justify anything we want to. I robbed a bank but you robbed two so I'm innocent. ;)

Equally as humorous as those who defend Apple at all costs. Gotta love the internet.

it's game over for ms. It was a nice run but the days of trying to get someone to buy a bloated a** pc is over. The iPad showed that the average person can do just fine with it. No bloat ware, no viruses and no effing blue screen of death.
MS has over 5000 patents on the pc. So it is to their advantage that sony, dell, samsung etc sells millions of pcs so scan get that royalty money.

MS's not going away any time soon, sorry to say

Their stock is still at a 5 year high.

And personally I think these are the type of ads they should've run from the very beginning, instead of showing people breakdancing with tablets. Between those videos and that Nokia ad, their marketing is actually improving

And I love that HenryDJP believes that anyone that doesn't "dutifully" support Apple on here is a paid shill. They couldn't possibly love or own Apple products AND be objective. That would be asking WAY too much.

Sometimes objectivity doesn't go over too well. I'll be blasphemous, I'm a consumer and I care about myself more than the companies I patronize.

I think it's more like "I robbed Bank of America but you robbed a credit union, so I'm innocent." ;)

10 pages of it!

Especially since it was already corrected. Apparently THAT's not good enough. Maybe they should hold a press conference and point out how everyone else's ads have deception in them and blame customers for reading the ad wrong

Macrumors, is the best you can do? This is actually a good ad from Microsoft and it's going to sell a lot of Windows 8 tablets to PC owners. And all you can do is pick on the size of the tablets in the ad?

Apple is losing its own game here, everyone knows it and public perception is changing. And the worst part of it is that Apple is doing nothing to change it. Nothing.

I suggest you look at those images closer.

The screen on ASUS is smaller in height than the iPads. Now the black edges hides that fact but it is there. The white iPad makes it very clear where the screen ends.

So again yet another massive fail on your part. Just keep grasping at straws.

Let's look more closely at that image. The iPad screen is 337 * 253 = 85261 pixels. The Asus screen is 414 * 233 = 96462 pixels.

The image shows the Asus having a larger screen area than the iPad, when exactly the opposite is true.

Everyone relax. No amount of false advertising is going to sway people away from iPads. People still just don't get it. The reason iPad has done so well is because there are 100 million people out there that don't give a %^&* about specs, they care about ease of use and practicality. They will be intimidated by a tablet that has multiple things on the screen and tiles animating and updating. It's too much noise and it's not necessary. Tech geeks are still 0.001% of the population whatever you may think.

How long did it take Apple to address Antennagate after you heard from Steve?
