How in the hell could anyone consider this cyber-bullying? Tastelessness aside, it's a straight up parody.

Allison: I'll do anything sexual. I don't need a million dollars to do it either.
Claire: You're lying.
Allison: I already have. I've done just about everything there is except a few things that are illegal. I'm a nymphomaniac.
Claire: Lie.
Brian: Are your parents aware of this?
Allison: The only person I told was my shrink.
Andrew: And what'd he do when you told him?
Allison: He nailed me.
Claire: Very nice.
Allison: I don't think it can be construed as rape since I paid him.

My experience is that more Apple users are complimentary to Microsoft's products than Microsoft fans are of Apple products. I have no problem with Office and Windows 7; Microsoft has done a lot for the personal computing industry. However, over the past number of years their leadership has completely misread how the industry has changed and failed to move with it. What was once was a leader is almost not even a follower nowadays.

Are you referring to apple or Microsoft ? Hate to break it two you both have run out of ideas.

Digging their own graves???? How do you figure that? They are not going to get the apple fanboys to switch so were just provoking them. It's worked, look at everyone with thier panties in a twist over this on here.

To be fair, out of apple , android and m$ only M$ has been showing some innovation lately.

I don't entirely disagree with you, In my opinion Apple hasn't been innovating much these past years.

But I don't see how this is going to help Microsoft with sales right? I remember when they were targeting GMAIL and they got ripped to pieces by their own users.

Microsoft has a tendency lately to release tasteless ads. Hey if you can make it funny I have no problem, there have been some ads that came from Microsoft that I love, and they were taking shots at Apple then as well..

But again It should be done right, this appears to have been rushed, and frankly I didn't even chuckle..

The video in article plays, looks like someone managed to upload it. Looks stupid and envious on microsofts part.

Well, its looks like Steve and the fact they pulled the video is a prove that not only few of us think that it looks like Steve - the first true.

They wont pull the video if they dont actually realize its rude and the people have a reason to be mad -the second true.

One thing is mocking up products and services (Pc vs mac ads) and another thing is mocking with dead person (see the first true)- and this is the third true.

Its not about if Micrsoft are right, its the way they express it. In the PC vs Mac ads, the PC was simpatic, cute and funny, but always but it was the product, not the person they were refering. In the Microsft and Samsung ads, the apple customers are represented as low intelligent fools.

Above the realm of decency

Maybe you saw the humor in it, I DID NOT!
Apple has made me very wealthy, buying in at $68.74 and selling at $704. Never would have done that in MS
This is and all time low, from the Company that can't help but stick its finger up its a$$.
Go make another Billion Surface tablets, that you have to discount to dump, and :apple: laughs all the way to the bank.
Tout your product over apple, tell us how you are better, but if you can't, you resort to this idiocy, and roll over a dead mans grave, who just happens, with all his faults, have more class in his little finger than crazy man Ballnut has in his whole body.
F#%K Microsoft!

I thought it was funny. Who cares if they parodied Steve Jobs? I don't. It's not like he's a god. He's just a man that lived a very public life. Do we get upset with parodies of our presidents or our founding fathers or our favorite sports stars? No we don't, so why are you guys getting butt hurt over a parody of Jobs and Apple?

I found it funny and more true then not.

Microsoft and the GOP. Both clueless.

Sounds like the 'poke' of someone without an iota of perspective or even a sense of even recent history. Do you remember what cell phones looked like before the iPhone? Do you remember how they operated? Now, EVERY phone looks and works like an iPhone.

Same with tablets. Do you recall the state of the industry, tablet-wise before the iPad? There was no industry. It was a joke. An abandoned field of failed, ridiculous devices. Along comes the iPad. Do you remember the jokes about the name? What happened to that laughter? Now, every tablet looks like and operates like an iPad.

"Innovative?" Apple is the ONLY innovative company. The rest are clones. And, please, tell us what "innovative" features you're seeing in the clones' products. The first time i see some schmuck waving his hand ABOVE his phone to switch pictures or pages or apps, or whatever... will be the next time i laugh out loud at a schmuck doing stupid things with a cell phone. I will wager five dollars that schmuck is also smoking an e-cig, has his baseball cap on backwards, and thinks his 2004 Mustang is bad-ass.

@Microsoft: Parody is fun. Might even be considered 'tribute.' But, christ on a bike, people. If you're going to spend money to do something like this, do it well. Do it with a sense of intelligence. And, as Steve Martin said to John Candy in Planes, Trains and Automobiles...: If you're going to tell a story, "Have a POINT."

Stop it, there was a smartphone industry before the iphone. Apple's genius is in their marketing and timing, but it's not like they truly innovated anything that hadn't been done before. Of course the iphone catapulted us into a new era, but that was a convergence of genius Apple marketing and the fact that hardware had finally made it feasible to have a smartphone. Hmm a grid of icons, yeah I've never seen that before. I was quite satisfied with my windows smartphone 10+ years ago, I wish it was slimmer, but other than that it did pretty much what I needed out of a phone and other than having 1 million fart apps I don't really see what more there is today except for a sleeker package, which I definitely do appreciate.

I didn't get a chance to see the MS videos, but I'll wager they are not much worse than the idiotic mac vs. pc ads we used to see not that long ago. It's only business, I'm not sure why everyone takes marketing so seriously. Apple is definitely slowing down, while everyone else catches up. Yeah MS is a very distant 3rd place, but I see some things which are superior IMO and "innovative" also in my opinion, things like Live Tiles.

I think that word "innovation" is thrown about much too lightly these days, and certainly way too lightly in this era of the 5C which is about as far away from "innovation" as possible, and much closer to "how can we sell the same phone for a much larger profit margin?". Hey I don't blame them, they will make money left and right from people who think it's "innovative".

You know it's pretty bad in the Microsoft world when they are trying awfully to be a copycat of a copycat.

Hah! Remember those fashion-band feuds last decade between The Killers and The Bravery, accusing each other of being copycats, the bunch of them all weighed down with glitter and eyeliner... hilarious. Well, smartphone makers all need to mind their own biz and strive to bring quality for cost to market, stop looking over their shoulders. It's okay to glance back, but when you drive full speed ahead with both eyes on the rear view mirror, then the guy who's just ramping into the acceleration lane in his brand new truck is going to win when you rear-end him with your frail copy of his last-year's model. And ALL these phone makers need to remember that.

the comments in the video come across a lot better since they're spoken in jest.. it's the similar comments on these forums where people saying them are dead serious which gets the :roll eyes: #

Rubbish, in the I'm a pc ads the pc users were represented as loosers and apple fans as cool. You saw it as cute and funny??? Wow very selective.

Microsoft's SOP: Copy Apple Then Bash Them

Microsoft, Google, SameSung, etc. same 'ol same 'ol. Rather than innovate, they steal and copy.
Watching Microsoft slide into oblivion is better than anything on cable.

The funniest part was at the end when he said something like "yeah, that took a month" or something.

How long did the ad agency take making this?

Not even getting to the question of taste - these were boring, typical trying-to-be-funny ads. Ugh, that guy's voice.

Not clever, not funny, not really saying anything. Just keep harping on about plastic. The 5C is pretty obviously plastic. Apple never makes out like its anything else.

Just a couple of days obviously, since it's making fun of the announcements on 9/10/13.

I personally thought they were funny. The chick in the ads had good comedic timing.

Nope, they werent. Watch the ads, the PC was the product, the PC had viruses and was slow. No PC user was mentioned.

Yep, it's hilarious. I don't see anyone crying that we parody other dead people. It's not like they are making fun of his sickness or his death, I don't see any poor taste in that at all. Disclaimer, I haven't seen the videos, I'm just assuming they are making fun of his style and decisions.

I gotta agree with the ad. What the hell has Apple been doing the last 6 months? But unfortunately, the iPhone 5C/S will not flop. People will once again line up in droves. I don't understand it. They're not bad phones, but their not innovative.

They're* and you're not very bright, the "S" versions of the iPhone are minor updates (you can thank the competition- or lack thereof- for that). What I don't understand is how you visit this site yet are oblivious to incredible changes in the operating system, the new chips included in the iPhone 5S and the fact that there is a FINGERPRINT SENSOR. (Maybe not new, but what successful phone is currently using this? I can't say off the top of my head).

Get your head out of whatever hole it's stuck in. Accuse Apple for lack of innovation all you want when the competition hasn't accomplished half impact the iPhone has presented to the market. At least the iPhone has shaken things up with nearly every release.
