I strongly doubt that Micro$oft, of all companies, has the right to call anyone "friend"...

I gotta agree with the ad. What the hell has Apple been doing the last 6 months? But unfortunately, the iPhone 5C/S will not flop. People will once again line up in droves. I don't understand it. They're not bad phones, but their not innovative.

Read this article and then decide who has been innovating

Microsoft gave this statement to The Next Web: "The video was intended to be a light-hearted poke at our friends from Cupertino. But it was off the mark, and we've decided to pull it down."

"Friends"?

When did MS become friends with Apple?

They should probably spend more money creating these instead of worrying how much more are they going to lose with Nokia and their pathetic mobile OS that has barely any big name popular Apps.

All those three things are complete crap which nobody, aside from a niche of tech people, care about.

I only know one person who has bought an iPhone 5, and several who have bought Samsung phones.

So I guess all my friends are niche, right? The main reason? Screen size.

I mean, you Apple fanboys don't seem to get it. I didn't get an iPhone 5S as I have an iPhone 5 and there's no reason to get it. What do I need here? A fingerprint scanner? Big deal. Faster chip? Eh. Being able to leave my wallet at home and buy things such as food with my phone? That would, actually, provide some utility to me. The iPhone 5s looks utterly worthless to someone like me. And the iPhone 5c looks less than worthless.

Our vending machines where I live are starting to use NFC. They won't take my credit card. What about this do you not understand? This IS mainstream, like it or not. The bigger screen IS mainstream, like it or not. And since the iPhone is losing market share, I would argue that a lack of a bigger screen option and NFC is turning more and more into niche.

And, like it or not, the market is on my side of the argument. I know if you care enough to reply you'll pull some statistic to demolish my argument, or just post another thing about how I'm niche, but you're gonna be wrong and then angry when Apple falls under 10% and blame the rest of the market, that mainstream is too niche. And let's not get into the fact our devices still need to be jailbroken for niche users. Successfully preventing jailbreaking will in my case cost Apple a good chunk of change. But I will admit, that's only 10% of users, and in perspective, that will mean 1% of cell phone users want to do on iOS what I do on iOS.

Screens are too big

I have been an Apple user since the days of Classic. I have 2 ipads, a rMBP, and an iMac. But I have an Android phone. I currently have the HTC One. There are specific features I bought this phone for (e.g., camera, swype, fm-radio), but the screen size is NOT that reason. In fact, the screen size is just too wide. I have to admit when I hold an iphone that it just feels right in the hand. These bigger screen sizes are too big. I'm about as average as they come in size. Not too big; not too small. But most high-end Android phone screens are too wide, IMO.

I have to laugh an that article which is not only poorly written - but so incredibly biased.

Appleinsider has been publishing stories like this for a while now. I like Apple and all, but their stories are nowadays so incredibly biased that I have given up on reading them.

I have been wondering where Appleinsider is exactly inside, but I am beginning to think it is up Apple's butt.

"average ... size"? So you are about 5'9" / 175 cm. My HTC Sensation is 4.3", and an iPhone should be at least this size - but not more than 5", for me to buy it. My Apple computers date to pre-Classic, so I know something about small screens. I have tried / used a Windoz laptop and believe the only reason anyone would have one is the price.

Would someone please ban and remove the term "butthurt"? It's the most ridiculous and juvenile thing I have had to read online recently. "Butthurt"? Are we 12? Seriously.

Why are you getting butthurt because someone is typing that word?

U mad?

Friends when that nerdy guy :p (Bill Gates) was still in charge at M$.

I'm not sure what your point is. Nor the point in the pissing contest to begin with. As long as you enjoy using the phone you have - it shouldn't matter how many friends or people you know use the same phone. Or a different one.

It's not like either party here is going to convince the other that they have the superior or inferior phone. And it's not ego. It's because the best phone is subjective.

Have a lovely day.

Tell that to the poster above that said all of his friends use samsung phones. lol

Here, I've brought you a stool so that you don't risk peril dismounting your high horse.

reads post from Newton70

thinks about it

takes stool and beats horse with it.

grabs pitchfork and joins mob raging over poorly executed youtube videos.

realizes that complete overreaction is liberating and empowering when everyone else is doing the same thing.

Thanks for making me realize rational, unbiased comments have no business appearing in forums. That was error I will not soon repeat. I am in your debt.

kicks horse for good measure:cool:

What people miss with other phone makers is that Apple only makes "good stuff". If Samsung sold ONLY S3 & S4 phones and no other cheap junk, they would start to be like Apple. Apple's innovation is that their "herd" can move together. Apple is going to move almost ALL iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5 (and iPads too) to iOS 7 in just under a week... And they will get 80% adoption in about 60 days. Each phone was near the head of the hardware pack when it was new... And that's all Apple has to update. iPhone 4 is going on its 3rd year of OS support from Apple, who else is doing that? It's boring, but its still better business for the customer than the other guys who release phones that get NO UPDATES even when new OS versions are already on the market.

I've never seen an NFC enabled device other than a phone in my entire life. It's mainstream where you live, not here.

Large screens mainstream? I'll tell you what else is more mainstream: Hands and Pockets...billions of them out there...those large screens don't appear to be compatible with either of those devices.
