My new 16" M1 Max MBP arrived and I'm trying to set it up with all native mac apps first. I noticed that even if you download OneDrive from the Mac App Store or direct from microsoft it is requiring Rosetta2 to run. Not sure what I'm missing here as so far nothing else has required it.

Is part of OneDrive still Intel?
you need to opt in. change the update channel to current channel (preview) in microsoft autoupdate, then after updating to latest verison, you need to open onedrive, settings, about, then opt in in get onedrive insider preview updates.

Emphasis that this is a preview/beta with all the usual warnings of not doing this on mission critical systems/data/etc.

The universal/Apple Silicon version of OneDrive is no longer a preview/beta channel release. It is a fully released product now.

So. Did it make it's way to the AppStore or not yet?
I’m not sure; I use the standalone app downloaded from Microsoft. It updates itself so it’s less work to keep updated than the App Store version.
