This is what I was going to post. Thank you for sharing. Microsoft is cherry picking the benchmarks and stats here. The Snapdragon Elite is not faster. Who uses a consumer laptop like MacBook Air or Surface Pro for “sustained multi core” processing. This machines are used primarily for single core tasks. Nobody is rendering a 3D animation on these or trying to solve large mathematical models. They are doing web browsing, email, word processing, spreadsheets and light photo and video editing. More cores will help concurrent processing but that’s just brute forcing the performance. I am sure they put a bigger battery too to get the battery life numbers since Snapdragon Elite consumes more power than M3 in its 23W configuration.
anyway, comparing multicore performance on machines like this while ignoring single core and graphics is like touting that a Toyota Camry outperforms a Honda Accord in off-road driving.
