Zoom > teams with the exception that zoom does not let you copy text from the chat by default. I read online it’s a setting but only accessible by logging into a web browser that literally no one knows about.
Same platform. It's a lot faster on my Mac.Is this an actual full replatforming?
MS teams for windows still looks like a ****** electron app using a gig of memory.
Second that. All processes on my M1 Pro MBP 16' are Apple Silcon. No Intel at all.Hmmm weird. I feel like everyone is saying audio is still Intel but I grabbed continuous build from August 3rd and now my M1 Mac only has two Intel processes. ipcserver (steam) and CarbonComponentScannerXPC (rosetta 2). Everything else including Teams and its audio says its Apple.
Did you check the "Teams Audio Driver" in the installer window?I'm running August 3rd continuous build (1.5.00.21561) and it still has the Intel audio driver
Can you confirm that puts you at v20352? How do you do it?For those wanting it now, you can change to the preview build in Teams (in the about section). It’ll take about 10 mins to download and transition. Perfect for those that don’t want to download a file from a website and reinstall it manually.
Been using it for a few weeks. Works like a champ!
I did, which actually just started to be unchecked by default on recent (within the last week or two) builds
From where? What am I missing? I downloaded the apple silicon MS Teams program and it shows up as an "Intel" app under activity monitor.
So, you think that Apple shared Apple Silicon dev units with Microsoft a year before they publicly announced Apple Silicon??dev units were available long before that
That's a bit overreaction and you know it. My company uses Teams...not my first choice but that's the choice. If I was looking for a job and a potential hiring was using Teams, I’d keep looking.
So can you point me to where I can see how Slack supports video conferencing as I couldn't find it on their site?Companies use Teams because it comes along with Office. No one would ever compare Teams against Slack and decide to use Teams.
Has worked fine on my M1/MBP with 16Gig too.I've never had an issue with Teams on my M1 MBP. I guess I also have 64gig of RAM so if it's a memory hog I likely wouldn't notice.
I am also having the same problem.
How do you update the audio driver specifically? Everyone I've seen post on her running Universal Teams is also posting that the CoreAudio driver is still Intel. Sometime may have changed with a recent version though.I am also having the same problem.
CoreAudio still shows up as Intel despite upgrading the audio driver.
ah I wandered why it was such battery hungry garbage, now I know!Is this an actual full replatforming?
MS teams for windows still looks like a ****** electron app using a gig of memory.
The tyrrany of the JS framework strikes again! Isn't VS code also a js ******** based app?As long as it’s still running on electron it’s a bit of a stretch to call this a native app.
