Maybe they'll release something useful such as a solar-powered flash light or a submarine with screen doors...

Uh Oh, you are going to make someone link to that flashlight forum, lol. Anyone else remember that thread, that was strange...

Same Old Microsoft

funny that confirmation of this came by way of a mistaken email

I don't know what to say. I hear and cheer all the anti-Microsoft comments, but what if MS does really have something up their sleeves?

I know MS doesn't have an innovative bone in its body, but what if the billions finally bought them just one creative idea?

I am going to bed early and not watching, but hoping tomorrow morning is not so dank and uninviting.

Good night my Mac(rumors) friends,

Don't fret little one. Microsoft will blow it. As usual.

I talked with a friend tonight who works @MS in Redmond, she tells me that at a company meeting about a month ago they demo'd some sort of digital desktop that you interact with. Use your hands to touch, move, manipulate... she didn't say much other than it was "really cool."

Reminded me of that touch interactive video that was floating around a couple of months ago... either way, I'm eager to see what they got.

By the way, don't you love how these newbies always show up and state that they KNOW what's going to happen? Do you think it's the same losers creating new accounts over and over again?

Yep. That's what Gizmodo is reporting.

Considering the price, I really hope not.

I thought that was done on apple hardware???

And how does that affect the Apple patented "pinch" gesture? Also didn't Apple buy fingerworks?

There is (thank Gord) a movement in the patent process to invalidate patents that are "obvious" based on prior art.

Apple may find that all of the patents that they've applied for on using more than one finger will be summarily rejected as "obvious".

Wow...Ive never seen that before. I would love to have a system like that. It would speed up animated productions a lot as well.

Yep, it was done on Apple hardware, supposedly. This is where the multi-touch functionality came from for the iPhone presumably. Hopefully this is what OS 11 will be... no more physical keyboards or mouses... ;)

This announcement doesn't make sense.

If this new product is phenomenal why is it released at midnight instead of having a press release?

This is a product coming from the same company who brought you Zune and sold only 250 copies of Vista in China.... this release will be funny :apple:
