good point, like a hockey game, right?

Or destruction derby, take your pick. Whatever it is, it'll probably be underwhelming and a definite case of "seen it before", but hopefully we will get a surprise.

I know it can't be an update to the Xbox360, because MS released the black premium model recently. It'll probably be something hardware orientated.

A propeller beenie-hat powered by the Zune. Called the "Zunie"

Get one half price with a purchase of a Zune music player while stocks last, and if you are a developer for Microsoft, you get one for free!

Actually, perhaps not. I have flashing images of a sweaty Steve Ballmer wearing one on stage as he runs around, arms outstretched, making helicopter and aeroplane noises.

Scary!

No no, we've all missed the boat. It's something totally new from Microsoft. So that means, it'll just be something that actually works for a change.

Sort of like saying MacDonald's now has "gourmet" sandwiches. Everything is relative.

It's described as "something totally new coming out of the Entertainment and Devices division, and it's going to change the way people interact with technology" and "you really have to see it to believe it."
I know the answer. Uncle Bill Gates has become the head of the division so he can add his creative thinking. That's what's new and revolutionary. umm, yeah.. umm.

Well whatever it is Steve Ballmer is gonna say it stole 25% of the market in its first year away from whoever else was making a better example of the product.

That dude has mental problems.

Okay, sorry, totally off topic.

Let's see what the boys and girls up in Redmond have to offer. . . My guess is either an iPhone-like device or a tablet UMPC.

Maybe they found a brain and don't really know what it is or what it does, but that it is great.

Remember folks.Gizmodo is known for hyping something with teasers only to see the product be just normal.I don't believe Microsoft is going to introduce anything tech quaking at midnight.

midnight???

if you have trouble sleeping tonight, remember to watch the microsoft release, i'm so sure that you won't have any problems sleeping then....

:apple: rules

Seriously, I doubt it is revolutionary, but if the report is half right and Microsoft intended it to be, then I would bet that it has something to do with IPTV or something of that sort. Gates has been harping on that for a long time it seems.
