Sigh. iWatch has been known to be in development for at least 2 years, probably more. Just because other people rush something out to beat Apple to the punch...

Rumored. Rumored to be in development. The iWatch technically can't even be called vaporware since AFAIK Apple has never said they were producing one. As someone earlier quoted, it seems everyone is getting into the wearables craze. No one wants to be the only company without an offering. It's just business.

Precisely, all every other tech company does is check macrumors and device their business plans from there. If there is something Apple made or is rumored to be making, these tech companies make it. Only Apple innovates.

There sure is a lot of TALK about smart watches.

Looking at that watch in the photo, it seems like it would be awkward to read the time in that orientation.

Nobody is going to buy these crappy fitness bands. Other than for a gift idea that gets worn a couple times and then put into a drawer.

How exactly is the Xbox subpar?

relative to ps3- severe and prolific hardware failures- weaker system overall

relative to ps4- larger, graphically weaker, less power efficient and more expensive- can't output resolutions the ps4 can. kinect is inaccurate and unreliable

So now MR is posting front page rumors of what another company might be working on? Seriously?

You know what's funny?

Samsung released a firmware update after its launch to enable an optional vertical mode for the time display... Did anyone at Samsung even used the thing before it shipped?

Sure, it's cross-platform now, but if it catches on, in five years it will cut off circulation to your hand if you try to tell the time by reading another clock.

Later, they will force everyone to read the time in seconds since Bill Gates' birth.

Still later, they will do away with time display altogether, instead presenting sets of icons in neat groupings that make sense to someone in Microsoft's middle management. The time display will be hidden at the end under "Advanced."

If I were to buy a wearable, I'd be much more inclined to buy one that is multiplatform. At least Microsoft will have that to differentiate itself.
