How exactly is the Xbox subpar?

Erm? Red Ring Of Death...

Anyway, interesting to see the market is going two directions, smart band and smartwatch. If it takes off in both markets I can see all manufacturers including Apple offering both types. I would rather a smartband, already have a decent watch.

Although I have to say, I would rather have an Apple smart fitness band.

Wow, the wearable bandwagon is getting crowded. I can't say that I'm surprised but by the same token, I do question the market for such things regardless of who makes it.

Also a lot of chubby kids who were exposed to BPA, pthalates, and other toxics while in the womb -- altering methylation, disrupting their endocrine function, and leading to chronic obesity, but that's another topic :(

Oh definitely there are biologic reasons for obesity as well, but I would gather they're in the minority. I hadn't heard that one before, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Yeah cause no one would want one for the iPad

All depends on what one does with an iPad.

Since there are 3rd party options, not really an issue.

Just thought it was funny at the time that MS made that a selling point for the surface. I can even see mentioning the keyboard, but kickstand? LOL.

Before iWatches it was smartphones. Before smartphones it was feature phones. Before feature phones it was regular cellphones, etc, etc.

With each new technology phase all the companies will eventually be doing the same thing. The constant arguments about who was first about simple hardware get tiring. Like, I can at least understand arguments about UI or whatever, but a product is a product, other companies will make one if the market demands it.

I don't care about who's first, it's just this "race to first" is so old . Making products just to make them . Products getting discontinued left and right because of low demand .

I feel like a lot of companies don't do their own research with these things . If they see a lot of people buying something, they imitate and don't have a polished product .

I saw the image and thought "oh God what crappy render did they put on the site this time!?!"...Then realized that's an actual product from Samsung.

Like the iwatch?

The iWatch doesn't exist...it's a rumor where all the specs are speculated, and then people elaborate based on their own speculation, then compare it to actual and or other imaginary products that don't exist.

First Iwatch

You can upgrade to the black rubber bands for a small fee.

Microsoft Working on Fitness Band Compatible With Windows ...

Hah, ha, ha ...

How exactly is the Xbox subpar?

The Xbox One's graphics capability is far behind that of the PS4. 16 ROPs (32 on PS4), 12.8 Gigapixels/second (25.6), 765 shader cores (1152), 1.23 TFLOPS peak throughput (1.84). It's an entire generation behind the PS4 in terms of graphics.

relative to ps3- severe and prolific hardware failures- weaker system overall

relative to ps4- larger, graphically weaker, less power efficient and more expensive- can't output resolutions the ps4 can. kinect is inaccurate and unreliable

So, iPhone 4 drops call if you're 'holding it wrong', weaker processing power overall.

5s - low res display, more expensive subpar camera, less battery, less RAM.

So by your logic, iPhone is subpar?

How exactly is the Xbox subpar?

Its not, he's just an angry fanboy. But anyway these are all great but I won't be buying any first gen of these including the Apple watch.

And in terms of how much is actually utilized they are pretty much the same.

There is a lot of hype around wearables whether you realise it or not, though... They have to explore it, because it could easily be the next tablet market (which people were scoffing at a few years ago).

Other than the fact the original design was to require users to login to play games they purchased or did you forget that little fact?

I don't think I really want to wear an xbox for a wristwatch, and I have Microsoft Sync in my car, which will be the first and last time I have that crap in my car.

I don't trust them to make a desktop OS, certainly not trusting them to keep my personal bio data.

My favorite part...

... my favorite part is that stylish monochrome design. If they make it in red, green, and blue, you can put 'em all on the same arm and pretend you're not in the 90s.
