Could you be more specific? What is so terrible about it?

I haven't seen it live, but from what my friend (a nearly professional photographer) reported, images look a bit too grainy on it, like they have some kind of noise

Couldn't be more pissed with Apple.
I bought a 27" i7 2011 imac last night and carried it back in a bus and now the bottom 1/3 is yellow stained.
So now on Monday I actually have to carry it back there...
I was wondering: what are they doing with all those returned iMac (and many are BTO)?
Selling them as refurbs. That is why I state that if you buy a refurb you are pretty much guaranteed a yellow screen.
I don't think thats true. They would replace any defective parts, and pretty sure the yellow screen is a defective part. It is possible apple would replace the LCD panel before putting it in the refurb store.
Hey friends just thought I'd let everyone know perfect ones do exist! I had one that wasn't that bad, but I couldn't stand looking at it. I was really tempted just to live with it because of the hassle it would be to return and buy a new one, but I went for it and I must say that it is totally worth it. I got my new one in last week and it is yellow-free! Couldn't be more happy. Long story short - if it bothers you, return it. It will be worth it and you will be much happier with your final product. Just my 2 cents!
Update for all you Yellow Screen victims... I have now received machine number 4 - that's right FOUR... in less than 2 weeks and it too has yellow bar. Machine #3 oddly enough had it on it's left side (definitely different). #4 has strong blue tint on left with classic yellow and grey bar on bottom. I haven't decided what my next option will be, they ALL have grey bar to some extent and jury is still out on the elusive "perfect" screen. I'd jump on a Mac Pro if the pricing were more reasonable.
I just got a refurbished 27in and i think i see the yellow tint problem.
If I ask for an exchange do I have to send mine first?

Hi everyone,
I posted about my problem a few days ago: a yellow tint. I decided to return it and asked for another one. I got it today and, ****, a new and even bigger problem: a lot of dead pixels, and, in the corner of the screen, a kind of "line of dead pixels", as you can see in the picture.
I dont have any option but exchange it, again!!! I am wondering if buying a PC would be finally a better idea...

They don't look like dead pixels. That is dust. Use some suction cups and wipe the dust off.
I dont agree.
Why should I do such a thing? Why should I have to buy suction cups? Why should I spend my time doing that? Why should I do the job of Apple?
I paid more than 2000$ for it. For a new iMac. I didnt buy it on eBay.
Anyway, I called Apple, got a good contact, and returned it, they are going to send me a new one.
Picked up a new 21" iMac...the lower end and this is what I have.
I have no dust behind the screen, no messed up pixels, but a hint of yellow.
Do you think it's worth going through the return and risking something that's worse? Or does this look ok?
If the issue won't get worse then I think I should be fine (depending on what you guys think), but if it gets worse over time maybe I should return it?
(These were taken 3 bars away from full brightness...)
