Lactose free. Not because I'm lactose intolerant, but my mum is and I just got used to the taste of it. I do put low fat on my cereal though. I can't stand the taste of long life milk warmed up!

Man, THAT was a buzzkill! :(

I hear a lot of anti-milk people, they're not normal either. Treated almost like it's Hitler and needs to die again.

I've drunk semi-skimmed and full fat milk ever since I was off the boob. 22 years later and I've never had anything worse than a throat infection. BMI says I'm the lowest range of the average weight band. I work out often, don't feel lethargic, don't get random bouts of the runs. No diabetes, no autoimmune diseases. No need for fillings. Never got into much trouble as a kid and I'm a good little boy now I'm all growned up. Low BP, slower than average heart rate. So wtf?

As a child we got our milk from the neighbors. Sometimes it was still warm. Our family of six went through 8 gallons a week. I don't remember anyone getting sick from it but you could always tell when the cows got out of the pasture and into the weedy patch near the creek. My god, the milk would taste awful then.

I don't drink milk anymore. It always seems to clog my throat as well as my sinuses.

To bring a thread back from the dead...

I have recently discovered soy milk. I don't know why I haven't tried it before, but I'm pretty sorry I didn't. Man, this stuff is great. :D

Skim milk for me, whole milk for my kids.

I've been drinking skim now for years and its funny when I accidently pour whole milk on my cereal (or in a glass) and not realize it at first. The milk is thicker and has a certain taste, thanks to the increase fat content). It usually takes only a second to realize what I did and I'm so used to skim, I cannot drink whole.

I can't vote. There is no option for whole milk, no option for strawberry or banana flavoured milk, and no option for coffee with milk. These are the three ways that I drink milk. :(

i love low-fat vanilla soymilk!!! yummm. it doesn't pretend to be moo milk...once you realize that, you're good to go. :)

i used to drink skim milk, but i've stopped drinking milk and don't buy it for myself. the BF likes 1% so if i have cereal i just steal some of that.

I like whole milk and 2%. They don't really taste any different to me but if given the opportunity between the two I'll always go for the whole milk. 1% for me is barely acceptable on things like cereal. Just yesterday I poured some fat free milk on my big bowl of raisin bran and I just couldn't bring myself to eat it, it was "teh nasty."

Whatever they put into my coffee.

My whole life I've never been able to get into milk, at least not regular milk. Chocolate milk, hell yeah. But my cereal was always dry.

Weird, my bestfriend used to drink milk everyday and she has broken at least 4-5 bones. Me? Nada.

i get made fun of for the massive amounts of milk i drink; 1%, 2%, skimmed, i dont really care. The colder the better.

I voted for chocolate milk, because I like to think im a chocolate milk connoisseur:) So very delicious:):)

I've recently tried (and decided to stick with) Organic Whole Milk. It's got a much fuller taste than the regular stuff, albeit it comes with a price.

...and I've gotten used to having cream in my coffee. Spoiled, I know.

Soy is loaded with estrogen (great, in your case, but not for men), so I avoid it mostly, but I have to say that Silk Chocolate stuff is really good. Better than regular chocolate milk, and better for you.

I was once casein (milk protein[found in all animal milk]) intolerant. Headaches and mouth ulcers.

But now I drink chocolate milk. I cannot drink milk unless it is chocolate. Has to be really chocolate or I cannot drink it. Some brands are not chocolate enough.

I think cow's milk is okay for children, especially picky ones who might be lacking in nutrients from other foods (after they stop drinking the milk designed for our own species, that is), but is overkill for adults. I get my protein and calcium elsewhere.

My mom, who is a dietitian would completely disagree with you.

We grew up on 1% but I generally drink 2%. I can really drink anything but skim. 1% is watered down enough as it is so I do not understand the need nor desire to drink skim.

Why is it that we're okay with drinking milk from other strange creatures (cows, goats, etc.), but we're not okay with drinking from our own?

I mean, sure it sounds kinda weird, but what would be the problem with going to the grocery after work and picking up a gallon of human breast milk?
