But, my god the announcers are horrible.

" If the ball was on time he would have been out"

Ignoring that Mauer dropped the ball....... On time or not, he dropped it.

I wouldn't go for McCarver and Buck, either, but when tonight's announcer team is this bad... well, that calls for drastic measures. Call John Madden and Pat Summerall! I believe they're available. And I'm sure they're fast learners with baseball stuff and wouldn't mind being on TV again for a few games. 😀

But then we would have to hear Madden go on an on about how he thinks Favre could play baseball just as good as anybody.
 
i muted chip caray. he just yacks and yacks. alot of braves fans don't like him. i sure miss skip right around now...

Uh, be more specific? There are three teams in the playoffs this year that use red as a major color.

All I gotta say is we made the Yankees look better than they actually were. Horrible relay plays, horrible plate dicipline, all around terrible performance by the Twins today. I give them some lenience since they got to NY at 3 o clock in the morning and they were absolutely tired, so Friday is all ours. 😀
 
Just got back from the game. Really good time, the crowd was electric.

Putting aside the fact I'm a Yankees fan, it's not going to happen unless Mauer can play all 9 positions at the same time and be the only hitter in the lineup along with being on base at the same time. But that doesn't mean they can't give the Yankees some grief.

He probably is a little pissed but after tonight you can't blame them. For clarification, the first passed ball is Sabathia's fault but nevertheless a catcher is supposed to have good communication with their pitcher.

I couldn't stand the announcers either so I used MLB At Bat on my iPhone to listen to John Sterling. He isn't perfect but he makes these guys look amateurish. It was 15 sec. behind but it was better than listening to the many botched calls in the beginning.
 
Dodgers managed to hold off the Cards but it looked like it could go either way several times. Dodger pen was strong all night.
