How about the umps not make a terrible call? How can someone miss a call while he is on the line 20 feet away? This was a totally winnable game in the 9th inning by the Twins, I agree. It isn't all everybody else's fault. I realize that. But god dammit I am so pissed off at everybody right now.

just embarassing. the twins just curl up in a ball and let the yankees walk all over them whenever we play them. stupid. i'm seriously so pissed right now.

EPIC game!

I honestly believe that this is the Yankee's year, especially with A-Rod hitting. But, they still need 9 more wins but for now, Sunday's is the most important.

And who better to beat up than Carla Pavano. Grrrrr...

And MacNut, I've learned to never count out the Red Sox, even this year's team although they aren't the best team they've rolled out the past few years. They've proven they can come back...as Yankee fans, we know this first hand.

wow, embarrasing drop by halladay. did he try to catch that ball with his nut sack? cards getting rolled by the dodges

also, how about those phills? hahahha back to their old blow it ways lolololol

Never count them out but the Angel's seem to have a swagger against them that I haven't seen before in the playoffs. Of course now they go to Boston for 2 and everything can swing. Part of me wants to see the Angels finish off Boston but part of me wants a rematch and wants the Yankees to get the job done against them this year. Plus I don't know if I want to face the Angels again.

Hmmm, one run in two games..Where I have seen that before? Some signs of life from the bats would be nice..It's standing room only on the Tobin Bridge as the pink hats are out en force. Francona is getting ripped on the radio, the bandwagon is just about empty....Somebody in that clubhouse needs to light a match under the collective ass of this team..What's Milar doing these days??

Lightning can strike twice if it's the Red Sox. This is one team I am confident will never give up.

But somehow I think the Yanks will at least make the World Series, but it would be fun to see a fight between them and the Dodgers, again. And now, the Dodgers move to the NLCS.

The way the Dodgers ended the regular season I didn't think they had a chance against the Cardinals.

The chance of an LA v. LA world series keeps me not watching, or even taking a peek at football. Usually, I have some idea who at least leads in football and come out as early favorites, but this year, I and a record tv audience out west is glued to the tv set and internet.

Maybe LAD got lucky and got a boost by sweeping, but I wonder if that whirlwind will either give them too much confidence or tire them out. I am sure many didn't expect this to happen the way it did.

Honestly, LA needs the business and some national attention besides the WTF moments of the Govenator. Southern California needs something to really be proud of again. Imagine a 7 game world series in LA. It wouldn't really be all about who wins, but just that there could be some sunshine again in the lost city of angels...or that the Gods of baseball are going to make another Dodger dynasty built up high to be taken down by the Giants. :)

@#%^#*$(#*!&@%^#(@*(!()#&*#^&$)(@(#$%*@!!!!!

At least when the Cubs choke, they don't do it in the postseason and embarrass themselves on the national stage like that! What the hell happened to my Cardinals???

Here's to hoping the Rox or Phils kick some Dodger ass!

is all about the dodgers!!!!!!
and angels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i feel like we r going to see the first ever "cross-town rival world series"

the way the dodgers swept the cards..... was amazing

and the way, the phillies and rockies are playing..... looks like a lop sided game.....

most likely the dodgers will advance in the NLCS

and the angels will beat the boston red sox 2morrow!!! for the sweep!!!:D:D:D

I may be a Yankees fan and hate the Red Sox, but I do have respect for them. That being said this team just looks lifeless. This series won't have a Game 5. I think that the era of Red Sox dominance may be over like it was for the Yankees in 2001. Schilling, Pedro & Manny are gone. They should have won the game Beckett pitched but they played like a team without a purpose.

Red Sox are out. Can the Yankees now come through tonight to punch out the Twins?

You are correct..This team looked like it was in neutral up until the third inning today. I still can't believe Francona pulled Bard to go to Wagner  Papsmear blows it with a two run lead. Ortiz looked like he was playing wiffle ball...Team looks old and tired. Hats off to the Angels. They're definitely not the same Angels of the last couple years..

Really surprised the Angels swept Boston. I'm used to it being the other way around. Boston looked pathetic really the whole series. Hoping the Twins can win tonight to make that series interesting.

Looks like Angels vs. Yankees and Dodgers vs. Philly. I'd love a Dodgers/Yankees world series. So much of a story line there.

I actually think it will be Dodgers Rockies in nlcs.
