He may deserve it but, from what I understand, it's already voted on by the writers when the series ends and postseason play has no influence on it.

Plus, the same arguments apply to him as they did against Beckett in 07: higher ERA, way more run support (more than 3 runs per start). Greinke should get by a long shot. Plus, Felix was equal on wins as See.See., and had a much lower ERA (2.49) Heck, I would take Halladay before CC too. Here are the ERA leaders for the AL this season. Here are some more stats from ESPN. Jon Lester had 2 more Quality Starts than CC, even with 2 fewer starts total, and a pretty damn bad start to the season.

Correct. It's for the regular season...

What goes on between this guy's ears

Ramirez showered instead of watching 9th
PHILADELPHIA – The showers at Citizens Bank Park must be nice and hot. You know, the kind with the rotating head that goes from pulse to stream to rainfall. Relaxing and soothing enough to explain how Manny Ramirez(notes) possibly thought it would be OK to spend the ninth inning of the most important game of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ season covered by suds.

Ah, to live in Manny’s world, where accountability and solidarity take back seats to … personal hygiene? As Jimmy Rollins(notes) turned on a Jonathan Broxton(notes) fastball with two outs in the ninth inning Monday night and drove in two runs for a 5-4 Philadelphia victory, Manny was blissfully unaware that his season was one game from being over. He’d been removed for defensive purposes before the inning began.

Go A-Rod. :D

Even if the Yankees lose the ALCS or the WS, he is by far the Post Season MVP.

Wow Yeah A-rod should be playoff MVP...

Too bad there isn't an award for that!

Riiight. They are what 30 miles out of LA.

Don't quite a few people live in Connecticut or New Jersey that are within 30 miles of Manhattan? Are they still considered to be in New York City? No. Anaheim isn't part of Los Angeles. People in Anaheim pride themselves in not being LA. In fact, pretty much everyone in California who doesn't live in LA is proud of not living there. :p

I think if CC pulls off another masterpiece in his next start he should be AL CY young Winner imo

Even if playoff performances counted toward the Cy Young, he'd still have to do more to deserve it more than Greinke.

Curious as to what you mean about all their arrogance. I don't see it and never have.

It really doesn't matter to me either way but there have been a few writers that have said the Dodgers were very cocky going into the postseason against the Cardinals.

I don't have a problem with teams being arrogant but you had better back it up. It also doesn't help that image when Manny's taking a showing in the middle of the Phillies comeback.

Funny thing about Manny: I'm an NYer and Manny went to high school here. From a friend of a friend who went to H.S. with him, I heard that Manny was dumber than dirt. By the time I heard this, he was already a rookie w/ the Indians. The anecdote should come as no surprise to anyone who's watched Manny over the years. He's a heck of a hitter though but word seems to have got made rounds that he can no longer turn on a fastball.

I really don't care;).More useless information :D I 'll be working right across the street (AC/DC is in town). South Philly will be ROCK'N tonight:)

Peace

Phils are goin back to the World Series tonight!!!!! Last year at this time, there was no better place to be than Philadelphia, so let the good times roll this year. I hope we get to play the Yankees in the WS, cuz it will be Philly vs the world.

I don't think the Dodgers are going to roll over just yet. I bet they have one more game in them.

oh god the dodgers are trailing by 2 runs.....

but so far they're scoring....

I say if they scored more than 3 runs in the first 3 innings they were still in it.......

it's the fourth..

Yeah…it's over. BTW it like 50 degrees outside. Why is Padilla sweating like he's been locked in a steamroom for the past two days?

Ya it looks just about done.

Or maybe not...

Ha! Noticed the edit. I'd like to see the Dodgers win but their pitching hasn't been able to shut the Phillies down and the Dodgers lineup looked weak. I think the two chances that they had to make a comeback in this series was screwed up by Padilla. The Dodgers need to get ahead early and Padilla kept giving up the lead after they hit a HR. Giving up the lead right after your team takes the lead is the worst thing a pitcher can do. Well that and a leadoff walk.

Sigh...Oh Manny!

sing with me "nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey ,hey goodbye! nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah ,nah, nah, hey ,hey hey! goodbye dodgers!!!! =("

i hated when the boston celtics started singing this when the lakers where getting eliminated in 2008......:D:D:D:D

The Phillies always have some choke left in them. I won't relax until the game is done, the Dodgers are on a plane back to LA, and the Phillies are in the locker room spraying everybody with champagne.

Looking like a east coast series. Just what Fox wants. It should be a good series though.
