The first Opening Day in some years where all of the teams will actually play on Opening Day (assuming no rainouts). Also includes one inter-league matchup. I don't recall having seen one of those on Opening Day before.

I saw this earlier. I think it is a great move by MLB.

This is the earliest day MLB has opened up.

Every series has an inter-league matchup now. There were two rainouts, Detroit at Pittsburg and Washington at Cincinnati.

There have been the last couple years - there HAD to be since they reorganized and moved Houston to the AL making an odd number of teams in each league.

Good point there. I suppose one of these days the Dodgers will open the season with an AL team, it just hasn't happened yet.

Redsox lost thanks to the bullpen.

Compared to other teams this year, I just don't have a good feeling that they'll be a dominating team, which makes the fact that they have the highest payroll in MLB so much more depressing. I think the Yankees learned that lesson and grew a team that is downright scary. They've made some moves of late to supplement those young players, but its definitely a change of charachter for the yankees organization.

Who did the Red Sox add other than JD Martinez to make the team better?

I'll keep pulling for my Braves, I just wonder who they will sell/trade off this year?

The Dodgers' Wikipedia page was freshly updated last night.

So the Yankees have to wait another year to attempt to be the first team to go 162-0.

I hate how teams rely too much on playing percentages. The Yankees learned that it can beat you.

Quick question. I logged in to my mlb tv account and I saw an option to Upgrade for $26.00.
Upgrade to what exactly?

Rangers decided to suck one more year, so I basically given up on them already.
On the other hand, Astros look impressive already, I think it will be quite fun to watch them this year trying to get to the WS again.

On a separate note, MiLB opening day is here. I will watch a few games with MiLB TV.

The league must have felt sorry for the Red Sox so they gave them a powder puff first week of the season.

Red Sox on top of standings, showing true grit, whether they're winning in extra innings, or having a mamoth 8th inning to go ahead of the Rays
