Red Sox on top of standings, showing true grit, whether they're winning in extra innings, or having a mamoth 8th inning to go ahead of the Rays
I just think the Rays are that bad.

7-1 with a new manager and coaching staff. Can't ask for more than that from my Mets. Swept Washington IN Washington this weekend.

Well, my Tigers are 4-4 which makes me happy, for I'm not expecting them to do much this season. If the Tigers can avoid losing over 100 games this season I will call it a successful season. An playing .500 ball will be consider a very very successful season. Though I doubt that they will. Go Tigers! :)

Well, that turned quickly for the Mets. They placed d'Arnaud on the DL Wed. with a partial UCL tear, that night Plawecki took a fastball on the hand during an AB and has a hairline fracture. They now need to put Lobaton on the 40-man (meaning one of those guys goes to the 60-day DL) so they can bring him up.

The Marlins have a catcher that might be worth taking a chance on but he's also on the DL right now.

Love how Yankees fans are in panic mode already. It's a long season, things will turn around.

I'm sure they will turn it around. Maybe the Yankees can get A Rod out of retirement and back on the team :D.

The few games I saw the Yankees when they played the Red Sox, the Yankee defense looked poor. That usually happens when a team has lost its focus.

Oh I wasn’t talking about you, I was referring to some other comments I've read online. People acting like the season is over

I think Red Sox fans have the Yankee fans beat. If the Red Sox lose a couple games in a row, we think the season is over :).

Didi got a curtain call on the road lol

7 straight wins now for the Yankees, and their record is better than the Astros. Pretty amazing after that slow start.

Mets DFA Matt Harvey. They offered him a demotion to AAA but he declined it (he has to agree due to his service time or lack of options) so he will be DFA tomorrow. It would probably be done today if it wasn't for the AAA club being 6 hours away by plane, which changes next year with the move to Syracuse (YES! I can go to AAA games as an after-work activity).

Man, I thought the Rockies were going to blow a 6 run lead to the Mets last night. Surprisingly, the Rockies are 13-8 on the road so far this year.
