They are a good team (along with Dodgers and Houston as the biggest contenders), but to listen to some fans, you'd swear they were going to be a record setting 130 win team.
And as you know, it wouldn't matter if they did win 130 games, the postseason is all about who gets hot at the right time. Shoot, my 2006 Cardinals were an 86-win team in the regular season when they won it all.

The Yankees were not going to win 120 games. Sure they got off to a hot start but they needed to stay healthy to keep that pace going. They still have a hefty lead in the division. Best record is the goal.

Pujols is now 24 HR's behind Aaron. Probably can't do it this year, but give him one more year and he could become the non-juiced HR leader.
I'd love to see him do it, but he seems comfortable with retiring at season's end. I was fortunate to be living in St. Louis during his first ten years, so I saw the best of him. The feeling in a packed stadium when he came to the plate was something special.

One of my favorite non Giants of all time.

I will say this.....

The Yankees were having quite a season and Judge's HR's were just a small part of the story. Now it appears Judge's HR's will be the story for the Yankees this season.

Yeah, but Ohtani is still the MVP. He'll hit 40 homers AND win 15 games.

Yeah, I think things are just about over as far as this season’s playoffs chances are concerned for the Red Sox. 8 games out with three competitors in front and about a month left to play, I just don’t see it happening. But then apart from Wacha the starting pitching has either had down years or been second string this year, very noticeably so.

As we head into the final stretch, any predications from this crowd?

Hoping for a Dodger vs Yankee WS... Anything else will be disappointing in my book lol.

Dodgers, Yankees, Houston, the Mets. Atlanta maybe. Those would be the teams in the mix.

Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina bring another WS win home to STL in their last season of play. That would be a nice story, at least. Reality? If the Yankees get hot again, I can see a Yankees/Dodgers series.
