There's at least one writer who sees a Dodger triumph helping to advance the case for the institution of a salary cap.
And whom might that be?

Something good has to come out of another Dodger win. There's at least one writer who sees a Dodger triumph helping to advance the case for the institution of a salary cap.
There's your moment of zen..I’ve given up on being a fan of any team. The regular baseball season doesn’t interest me much anymore, I just take a look at the postseason for old times sake.
The reason I’m still interested in football is because it is the beautiful game… I appreciate the skill and artistry of a well executed passing move or goal. I like players like Jeremy Doku, Lamine Yamal, Bukayo Saka, Vinicius Jr. Really top quality football can be compared to a dance.
Winning and losing, there is only so long one can stay interested in that. It is all a pretence, a play, even the things outside the game matter less than we like to think.

I'm starting to have similar sentiments about American Football.
The college game has openly turned into a money contest (and there's a high school student suing over NIL rights in Ohio, apparently one of only six states that don't permit it).
And though the statistics might say otherwise, the number of NFL players who have been injured, and will find themselves gimped later in life, seems to be rising, and has sapped some of my enthusiasm for watching such a meat grinder.
Sadly, the Brewers haven't slowed them down at all. Preparing myself to be a temporary Mariners/Blue Jays fan.
Ohtani was hitting like .158 before last night's barrage. Too bad he couldn't have slumped for another game.Yelich was 1/14 2BB ... I mention him because they need guys like him to step up in the post season... and he really hasn't, historically, done that. (5/19 vs the Cubs)
But he came thru ...Ohtani was hitting like .158 before last night's barrage. Too bad he couldn't have slumped for another game.
yupSteve Rogers. Man, back in 1981 he made only one mistake to Rick Monday, and the Expos were sunk.
This year's Dodger team has that same aura of inevitability. Ugh.
It's the Dodgers' world, and we just live in it. 🤮 🤣
Rumors are that the Giants might actually be able to lure Vitello away from Tennessee.
That's a solid prediction. I need to see if I can find a Blue Jays t-shirt locally. I'm temporarily their biggest fan in SW FloridaMy prediction for the WS: Dodgers in 5.
If you look at their progression through the postseason, they’ve hit form at just the right time. 2-0, 3-1, 4-0, nothing has fazed them.

Hoping for a 2012 World Series redux, where the team on long rest couldn't get off the mat and got swept by the team that was taken to the brink in the previous round.
